AKL Concierge view

Hi All, Just wondering.

I've got reservations for AKL Concierge for later this year. I requested a savanna view (why you can't reserve it for the price you are paying is beyond me). Has anyone here that has stayed on concierge that also requested the savanna view ever not gotten it?

My thinking is that most of the concierge rooms are savanna view anyway and since we're going in value season I'm thinking the odds are in my favor but I just wanted to be sure. Thanks.

Pretty much the only time you won't get a savannah view is if you request a smoking room. In that case, it's guaranteed you won't gte savannah iew, as all the conceirge smoking rooms are pool or standard view.

The odds are GREATLY in your favor, particularily if you're a non-smoker. There are only about 6 concierge pool view (non-savannah) rooms. They are 'smoking optional' (as opposed to smoking REQUIRED??? Sorry, just an oddity of mine). They are on the 6th floor, very close to the lounge though.

We've been on the 5th floor both times and loved our views.

Hey thanks for the responses. We're non-smokers so I guess we're in good shape.

Mary Ellen - Can you suggest rooms numbers that might be good. We'd like good savanna views and not to far from the concierge lounge/elevator.

Check your PMs. Since you're a newbie (welcome to the DIS, by the way), you may not be familiar with them. Look on the left side, near the bottom of the 'main' board page. You'll see:

I'd request something in the odd numbered 5407 to 5437 range. We've stayed in two rooms in that range, and have always seen a ton of animals. It's about as close to the elevator as you can get and have a savannah view.
