AKL Concierge Question

Hi All, we just booked AKL concierge for May. I am wondering if someone will contact me regarding my PS arrangements or if I should handle these on my own. We would like Hoop De Do and some other dinning plus the pirate cruise for my son. Also, when do you book the sunrise safari? From home or when you arrive?

Any info would be appreciated. I am so anxious!

We stayed concierge this past Sept. You will love it! I had already made all of our PS's before we found out we were staying concierge. I have heard...OK read, that the staff doesn't contact you until very close to your trip. If it makes you feel better I would suggest that you call them if you want to make sure you get what you want.

My personal feeling is that they could get you just about anything, anytime, we were even asked if we wanted Cindy's breakfast PS's, they said they couldn't guarentee them but felt very sure they could get them for us....this is after we had arrived.

I just changed our ressies for AKL in December to Concierge - I checked and the difference in price between our AP deluxe (we have 5 people in our family) and the AP Concierge was about $35 a day. If we eat breakfast there we have already saved that much! Of course, one of the days is a Tuesday, so we probably will go on the Sunrise Safari - so much for any savings, but what fun!

I called concierge the same day I changed my ressies to see if there was availability for the Sunrise Safari, as our trip was about 35 days away, and Jill was extremely helpful. Not only did she set us up for the safari, she took down all kinds of information about our requests, and offered to make any arrangements I needed. Of course, I had most of my planning done by then, but she was very helpful! If you want them to try for anything special be sure to call them before the 60 day period, although I've heard they can even sometimes get CRT ressies a couple of days ahead of time?

Later that day, I received a call from Jill. She had just received my ressie from CRO, and didn't realize it was the same people - our name is St. Martin, and it often gets misfiled under Martin. She was very apologetic, but I thought that was pretty fast service!
