Just wondering if anyone knows if any concierge rooms have the bunkbeds at AKL...

Thanks!

Yes, but I'm not sure how many.

One thing that I've been trying to figure out is if they have actual concierge 'rooms' on the 5th floor or if they just assign a 5th floor room and give you concierge services. I have a feeling it is the later.

I had requested a bunk bed room for our family of 4. We did not receive it (as well as the zebra trail). When I questioned our room assignment the concierge CM said they save the bunk bed rooms for larger families. The deluxe (5th floor) bunk bed rooms are the only ones AKL that sleep 5. We did end up liking our room even if it was a hike to the pool. Our girls ended up sleeping together just fine.

When we stayed at AKL Concierge a couple of years ago, I requested (and received) a bunk bed room for our family of four. They are considered the 'deluxe savannah view rooms' when booking w/out concierge. We were on the 5th floor.

There are about 20 rooms on the fifth floor that are considered only concierge rooms. These rooms are very close to the lobby. I know you didn't ask this, but just in case, the only pool view concierge rooms are those on the sixth floor, right off the concierge lounge.

So there are specific rooms!? I've been wondering about this for a while. Our room was 5311, midway down the Kudu trail. I wouldn't consider this close to the lobby - do they?

Is it better to be on the 5th floor or the 6th floor?

we were in 5313..concierge level, also. that room was not close to the lobby at all.

Both of those rooms fall into the first "pod", so I am assuming they would call these the concierge rooms. Of course, I don't work there so I am only guessing. I have never been in a typical concierge room as I always have requested to be way out on the ends since after my first trip I fell in love with the views from the ends of the trails.

To the op>> I hope you get your bunkbed room!
