Looking for opinions.... Staying at AKL Concierge for the first 2 nites then want to switch to a resort closer to the rest of the parks. Will be with DD 1, Myself,24, Boyfriend, 20 and another family 28,25, son-3. Thinking about YC (because of Stormalong Bay) or Poly Concierge's (beach and monorail access). Anybody recommend one over the other? Also is resort hopping difficult? Do you waste a lot of time switching to another resort? Since we are staying for 7 nites would it be too much to split the other 5 nites at both the Poly and YC?

Please help with so many options it's hard to make up your mind. :) (If only you could just live at Disney....hmmm.)

It is not hard to swith resorts. IMO with a 7-night stay I would only do 2 switches.

I think you would be happy at either YC or the Poly. Stormalong Bay is an awesome pool. The volcano pool at the Poly is nice also.

We love the YC. It is quiet & relaxing, every room has a nice size outdoor balcony. It is nice to be able to walk around the Boardwalk area in the morning & the evening. It is within walking distance to EPCOT & a boat ride or a long walk to MGM.

We haven't stayed at the Poly yet (trying it in Nov.) It is convenient to the MK via the monorail & within walking distance to the TTC so you can get anywhere from there.

JMO, but I would think about the YC only because of the nightime entertainment & the choices of restaurants/clubs on the Boardwalk. I think your kids would love watching the entertainment & if you're partners like sports they can go to the ESPN club.

Good luck with your decision.

I think with the ages of the children in your party you should choose the Poly. Stormalong Bay is big and it's hard to keep up with little ones there. The Poly has a beach and a zero entry pool which your little ones would like. In addition, it is closer and has the convienance of the monorail to Magic Kingdom where I suspect will be the park you'll want to spend the most time at.

Given the young ages of your children I would stay at the Poly. Monorail access can't be beat. You just roll the strollers on , no folding. Great when they fall asleep. My twins were 1 yrs old when we went and it was a lifesaver. Because of my childrens ages we spent the most time at MK. So it made sense to me to stay at a MK resort. So I could easily go back to the resort at lunch time and nap the babies and have everyone relax and swim. The poly has a zero entry pool that the kids loved along with those spitting fountain things. There lounge chairs at the fountains that were very convienant. I would also suggest reversing your itinerary. Do AKL last. AKL is very relaxing and its own little world. A fabulous relaxing way to end a trip. We stayed at the Poly LVC for 5 days and ended with a 4 day stay at AKL Concierge. ANd we have 3 boys under 3. It was perfect. We were able to relax after the hectic pace of the parks.

Thanks guys for all your help. I think I will be urging the Poly LVC. Everyone seems to say so much about them. MELSMICE I will let you know how it turns out for your stay in November.

Thanks again.

Thanks - I can't wait to try the Poly. Our DD's don't know we're staying there yet!!!
