AKL Concierge during construction

It is my understanding that AKV are taking over the floor that was originally used for Concierge. We are booked for four night in December AKL Concierge and were wondering if anyone knew how the set up is now being handled?

I just spoke to the concierge about this. He said that the rooms that were concierge that did NOT have a Savannah view were being renovated to the DVC. But that all the remaining concierge rooms would be savannah views.

Yes, I spoke w/ an IPO planner. He too said now ALL concierge rooms have a Savannah view. They are on the 4th floor. The lounge is still on 6th. For our stay in Aug, they *may* move some of the services to 3rd and/or 4th floor. With the construction, it's like watching a "moving target" *LOL*! He also told me they want all the constrution completed in the middle portion before the holidays.

4th will be a mix on conceirge and non-concierge rooms.

Some DVC members have received a letter that concierge villas will open Dec.1. Those villas will be on the 6th floor and some will have savannah views and others pool views...just as those rooms did before renovation.

It's still a bit annoying, if you have to go searching for the club type stuff, i.e. snacks, etc.

I'm just slightly annoyed too that the rooms and the lounge might be on different floors, since we stayed WL concierge and it was all on one floor. But I'm not going to stress about it. After all, this is Disney, and we're there to have a "magical" time!!

For most club level rooms that has always been the setup at AKL. The lounge is on the 6th floor but only a relatively few guest rooms were on that floor and 40% of those were pool view I think. Most club level rooms were on the 5th floor; now they'll be a floor lower.

Oh, ok...thanks for that clarification! And the good news is, from what I've read reported here, that our room will be Sav. view.
