AKL club level

OK, so I have hubby talked into staying at AKL one night before our cruise in Sept. We will be going just to enjoy the resort, since it isn't likely that we will stay there again (DS#3 will turn 3 this year). All that is available with the room only code is club level. Without the code, savanna view is more $, but pool view is about $25 cheaper and standard view is about $40 less. We've never stayed club level before, is it worth it for one night? We won't be using any of the concierge services, but the food in the lounge might make up for it. Any thoughts?

All concierge level rooms (non-DVC) at Animal Kingdom Lodge are Savannah View, so if you really value being able to see the animals outside your window then CL could be worth it.

Also, if you're going to be checking in relatively early and planning on spending a lot of time at the resort, then I can see how one night would be worth it (you'll be able to take advantage of all the food offerings in the lounge). If you won't be checking until later, and plan to hit the parks while you're there, then maybe you should save a little money and get a Pool View.

We always like having the concierge lounge, especially with kids, since you can so easily pop in there to grab a little snack and something to drink. At other resorts, it's prob not worth the $$ just for the food, but at AKL the CL prices are not much more than a regular room -- I would suggest you go for it! Also, you'll get a nice savannah view along with it!

If you're a family of 5, and you have breakfast in the lounge, that's already a significant savings over going out to eat. As I said, we like concierge service for the lounge convenience, too, since we dont have to sit down for a formal meal. It's a beautiful resort -- enjoy!!!
