AKL Check Out Question

We are checking out of the Animal Kingdom Lodge on 6/4/02. Our flight home isn't until 5:30 pm that evening. Does anyone know if the Disney hotels will hold your luggage after the 11:00 am check out time, so we could possibly enjoy one of the parks that morning, or are we going to have to head right for the airport and spend the afternoon there? We won't have a rental car, which would solve this problem. Thanks for the help.

Yes they will be happy to store your luggage while you visit the parks, even on your day of departure.

Not only will they hold your luggage for you, they have changing rooms with showers and a hair dryer down by the pool so that you can come back and swim and shower and change before you go. Your room charge card also remains good until 11:00 pm the day of departure. We just made use of all of these services on Fri and had no problems whatsoever. I stopped back at the desk and told them how much we appreciated this service. Enjoy.
