Well our second full day we decided to do Animal Kingdom, as I had missed this on my prior trip. My Aunt was not up to it and her DH and 14 yr old son wanted to go to the movies. Weird but true! So my group nana, me, twins, ds 9, and sil took her 6 year old dd with us to AK. It was a s usual a very hot day at this park truly I think its the hottest for us. We were slow moving across the park Kali river had a 5 minute posted wait so we decided to do that first, For people who do not enjoy walking in wet shorts this was a mistake. We were soaked luckily at the end of the ride you can buy shorts, Which for the bargain price of $26 dollars, SIL and I both did. Than after that minor snafu decided to head to Killamanjaro safaris, Aunt's 6 year old daughter not a seasoned Disney kid, was not happy to hot, too much walking!!!! We just said said ok we are almost done you will like this. And you will like this.So she plodded along. We fast passed the safari and went to Raffikis planet watch which I haven't done in more than maybe 3 years!!!!!! This proved to be a great choice for us. the kids loved this attaction, they took the brushes and brushed the goats. We went inside there was almost noone in there, and had some great photo ops with, Lets see Raffiki, Pocahontas, Stanley got some great pictures one baby would take a photo one would not. The children loved the recycling can and spent some time with a great Pocohontas. then off to the Safari which was a hit as always we saw the baby elephant which they loved. On the way out of Africa we saw the drummers which were great in their colorful robes, always popular with us.....By now the kids were melting and the sky looked ominous, so we opted to leave and hit a drive thru on 192 for lunch. After a stop at Burger King then Subway. The twins were asleep in the car. We returned to the Lodge about 4pm. we took a quick swim and got ready for the fireworks cruise. we arrived at the Contempary at about 8 an hour early to eat at the food and fun center, This is Akin to Dino land on a hot day. It was crazy, really loud, busy, tons of unsupervised kids running all over the place, Yikes!!!!!After more chicken tenders off we go to the boat. This is our second cruise and I love it. As I mentioned earlier I had added the birthday package, which for another $100 gave us a ballon decorated boat, a cake and a cooler full of sodas and waters. we cruised around saw the electrical water parade, the twins loved it. had no problem wearing thew vests this time, (last time they did not want to wear them,) We moored in front of the castle and set up the cake, passed out the sodas and sang Happy Birthday. One note to all, candles are not allowed, which was weird, but no bother we had lightsticks so we pretended. The cake was great everyone had a fabulous time. We docked and left to retire for the night at the Lodge, It was a long day but, a great deal of fun!!!!
