I was wondering if there are daybeds in the bunkbed rooms at AKL.If so how do you get them. I took this off the disney website
Most rooms are available with your choice of king-size bed (available with daybed), two queen-size beds or one queen-size bed and bunk beds (available with daybed)

Right now, this appears to be the million dollar question. That category did exist at the AKL, it was called a "deluxe bunk bed". It had a queen bed, bunk beds and daybed. When DVC came in, it was reported that all the deluxe rooms had been converted. Since then, I've noticed on the wdwinfo.com website, that this category is listed with prices. I don't know if anyone knows for sure what is going on.

I've stayed in one of these rooms, and at the time it was called a Deluxe Savannah room if that helps.

Do you know what the room rate was/is on these?
2007 rates range from $375 - $550 per night, depending on the season. The 2008 rate range is showing $390 - $595 per night, again depending on the season and weekday vs weekend.

I stayed in a Deluxe bunk bed room, with a queen, bunks, and a sofabed. It was allll the way, loooong way, down at the end of the Kudu trail. These are not rooms DVC is doing anything with, so I'm sure they're still available to book.

There's an extra large balcony, too, at least there was on mine. Very nice room.

I just ask a cast member yesterday the exact same question. She told me there is no longer day beds in the bunk bed rooms. They used to have them but no longer.:sad2: I hope she was wrong

My stay I mentioned was back in 2003, I think, so it's been a while.

my understanding is that since the DVC conversion, there are not any deluxe rooms with daybeds and bunkbeds offered.

That's the thing, so many people have been asked and it looks like not everyone is getting the same answers. I don't know where wdwinfo got their 2008 rates from, but it shows the deluxe savannah bunk bed room, with occupancy for 5 as an option. I guess we won't know for sure until someone is either able to book it, or recently stayed in one.
