AKL Animal Views in January?

I was just wondering if anyone knows what the AKL's animal views are like in January. We're planning on possibly traveling to WDW this January, and after going to Boma in June and admittedly exploring their grounds, and, of course, using their pool for the afternoon before our ADR, my friend and I absolutely loved it and it's definitely a place I'd like to stay at if I could rent DVC points for it. But, we won't do this if there aren't lots of animals out and about that time of year and we'll probably do the boardwalk or beach club or something. (They'll have the DVC villas opened by then at AKL, right?)

The DVC villas at the AKV are open now. I just booked my reservation for late January and had no problem getting exactly what I wanted. You should visit the DVC boards for more info. BTW, the points for a standard studio room were so low that I added a weekend night, so I'm using only 67 points for a six night stay. Normally I stay at the WLV for five nights which usually cost me 60-65 points, so was excited to be able to stay longer for almost the same amount of points.
