AKL African Rag Doll Activity

I know many have asked about activities at AKL. We just had our 2nd trip to AKL and was fortunate this time to participate in the activities. DD11 and DS5 enjoyed this activity and they wanted me to post. The African Rag Doll Activity was $12 and additional clothing was $2.

What darling children!! Their dolls look great

My DD made one of the dolls this January. I love the fabrics they have to choose from AKL is the BEST So glad you had fun.

They are cute dolls (and your kids are even cuter!), but, man, $14 seems like a lot for that activity. And, I'm usually not one to bat an eye at Disney prices.

Gem, the doll and one article of clothing was 12.00, but you could buy additional outfits for 2.00. Sorry, for the confusion. I kind of winced at the price,but the kids won.

I have two questions: do you have to be an AKL guest to do this activity, and do you have to reserve it ahead of time? We're not staying there, but we have an ADR at Boma one night, and it'd be kind of cool for the kids to do before dinner. Thanks!

I'm not sure if you have to be a guest at AKL. I know they accept cash as well as charge to your room. In the lobby there is an activity board. I guess I would call and ask. Good Luck!

I seem to remember that the activity was offered at about 2pm or so and only goes on for an hour, maybe an hour and a half. You won't be able to count on doing that before dinner...But there is PLENTY to occupy little ones at AKL. For example, "Savanna Games" was and activity offered in the Sunset Lounge off the lobby at 6pm during our stay last month...
