AKL 1 bedroom availability first 2 weeks of Dec?

Looking ahead to our end of year trip to Disney we can't decide between mid Oct or Early Dec. We want 8 nights in a standard view AKL 1 bedroom, preferably at Kadani. At the 7 month mark are either of these unlikely to get? I know early Dec is peak DVC time so I'm kind of afraid to hold out hope for that, but I know AKL is a huge resort so I didn't know if it sold for those 2 wks near as fast as others do.

I don't have enough points for Savana View so it HAS to be standard view.

The two times you mention happen to be the first (early Dec) and fourth (mid-Oct) highest DVC demand times of the year. Though your chances should be decent, there is some risk that a night or two in standard 1BRs at Kidani could be filled during the times you mention by 7 months out, more so for early December than mid-Oct. Mid-Oct had a night missing 2014 but not 2015, early Dec had one missing in 2014 and two in 2015.

Standard will be trickier due to people wanting to save points.

We did a booking at around 7 months for Dec 2014 and couldn't get either Standard or Savannah at AKL. (for a solid 6 night stretch, was missing a night or two) we went to SSr instead
