I'm looking for information on this for lunch or dinner. I mostly see reviews for breakfast. Trying to get an idea what the food is like. Any reviews or pictures would be appreciated. The search is not working for me. :confused3

We had lunch there. It was really good. I was kinda nervous about the "norwegian" selections, but everything was great. I had a chicken dish (can't remember what it was called) and DH had a lamb dish, I believe.

My DH is a picky eater, but he said Akershus was his favorite TS we went to.

I was there a couple of years ago and the cold buffet was cold cuts, cheeses, salads... that's about all I remember. It was different but good. We did the Princess Dinner and it was much smaller and personal for the kids, we enjoyed it very much.

I've been there for dinner though I didn't go up to the Cold buffet at all so I don't have specifics about what was availalble. I LOVED my dinner there! I ordered the Traditional Kjottkaker and it was wonderful.

I'd like to go back for my next trip but since we can't book it until less than 7 days out I do NOT think I'll get an ADR.

Good luck!

The dinner is ok. Better if you like fish. My DH is a real fish lover and had herrings and lox and salad off the cold buffet then cod with mussels for main course.

I had the traditional meatballs and they tasted like the ones we get from Ikea. Definitely not fabulous.

We went for breakfast this time and found it to be a far better meal for us personally.

The children's menu at dinner is quite reasonable with grilled chicken as an option but if like me you have a child eating an adults menu it is really too much of a limited choice for dinner.

we do the storybook dinner every year.

My DD loves the cold buffet. DH and I love the food. Last time DD had the kids spaghetti and didn't like it but just went back and got more of the cold buffett.

I think her problem was with the meatballs. We have been 5 or 6 times now.

We enjoy Akershus for dinner, so much so we have an ADR again this trip as well.:)
