Akershus... When do they switch from Breakfast to Lunch?

We have a 10:45 reservation and we don't know if we're getting breakfast, lunch or both...

Thanks!

It might depend a little on when you're going. If you go to the Akershus' webpage and enter the date you are dining there, it'll list the hours for each meal. Today, breakfast is from 8:00 am to 11:10 am and lunch is from 11:55 am to 3:30 pm. Based on your dining time, assuming the schedule is fairly consistent from day to day, you'll be there for breakfast.

Awesome... Thanks for the response. Having never been to Disney, I've heard that you may still have to wait with ADRs. How often (ballpark estimate) would a seasoned veteran say this happens?

That is definitely breakfast. Unlike other character meals that have continuous service between breakfast and lunch, Akershus actually stops seating between the two meals. Breakfast ends at 11:10 and they don't start lunch until 11:55. That seems to be a pretty set schedule. They will try to clear the restaurant as much as possible before lunch seating starts, IME.

An ADR is not like a "traditional" reservation. The restaurant isn't actually holding a table ready for your party at your ADR time. When you check-in, you put on the waiting list for the next available table for your party size (after the guests with ADRs that have check-in before you). So, the wait can be anywhere from none to as much as 45+ minutes after your ADR time depending on the parties ahead of you, how busy they are, if they're running behind schedule, etc. In general, I've usually had to wait about 15 minutes after I've checked-in to be seated. I have waited close to an hour at a few places (Citricos and BOG). For Akershus, you also have to wait in line to take your photo with Belle (usually), so that adds to the post-check-in waiting time.

So they still do the photo souvenir thing? I heard it had ended. Or, do you mean, take our own photo?

Thanks again!

They don't give out a printed photo anymore, sadly, but, if you have the Memory Maker, you get the digital version. Or, you can pay the $15 or so to get a printed copy.

As jenjensnap said, it sounds like they no longer include the photo package in the price of the meal, but you still take the photo at the start of the meal. Those photos are added to your Memory Maker account, but you have either purchase memory maker or the individual photos to keep them.

Or ask the photographer to take one with your camera, which is what I do every time even if I have MM.
