I've currently got a meal booked at Akershus - with the plan to go round the world showcase after and watch illuminations etc.

I'm having second thoughts now - will that mean missing out on snacks around the world etc. Its not during Food and Drink however.

We have two boys (11,8) and one girl 10 - whos not mad on princesses - so maybe Akershus was a bit of an error - I'm on dining plan but currently have one more Table Service meal booked than credits (thanks to one night being a double at hoop dee do)

do people tend to eat there way around the world showcase?

We always do. I love being able to have a snack here and there. Even when the Food & Wine festival is not on, we tend to do this as there are so many yummy things to try.

I'd definitely go with the World Showcase snack option. My daughter really enjoyed the Food & Wine Festival, tasting and sampling snacks at age 7, 8 and 10.

World Showcase dining is great.
Means you can stop as you go round and pick up food when your family fancy it.
Loads of yummy options!

I don't think you can go wrong with either. How hot will it be? That would sway my choice. If you're going when it's boiling I'd choose the restaurant option for a sit down in the air conditioning. Akershus is good food for a character meal too.

I second this. We did Akershus (two adults!) for lunch on a VERY hot day in August, and were so glad of the time to cool off and the nice leisurely pace at Akershus... plus their starter buffet was one of the nicest things we ate all week. I could have lived off it! Yum! :) But with all the nice options around World Showcase, I'd let the weather be my decider.

It will be dinner time - last week of may - we will be having lunch at Animal Kingdom
