I am torn :confused3 between Akershus(not sure which meal) and CRT (for dinner). Which do you prefer/was most enjoyable? Which princesses showed up? I know there is no guarantee as to who shows up, I'm just curious.

If Akershus, which meal do you prefer?

Thank you!!!!!!!! Shannon

There are no princesses, other than Cindy greeting, at CRT for dinner. I believe dinner is the fairy godmother and mice. The princesses are at breakfast and lunch. We have had breakfast and lunch at CRT. It was fine.

PSB was great. We had a fabulous lunch. DD's favorite princess is Ariel (mine too) and she was there (heard she is usually there for l & d). Belle is the princess who greets for every meal. The food was very good. DH had the lamb and his only complaint was that the portion could have been bigger because it was that good. The princesses didn't seem as rushed as CRT (couldbe the norm or just the day). Ariel spent the longest talking to DD when she was told she was her favorite.

For the price, especially if you are on a dining plan, I suggest PSB...you still get the princesses for 1 credit (I think the 2nd credit at CRT is for the sole "pleasure" of dining in the castle.).

I personally would only do Norway for breakfast. I just didn't care for the Norweigan food at lunch and dinner. If you must do dinner, I'd pick CRT. Not so much for the food but for the experience of eating inside the castle which I think everyone should do at least once! Although dinner is only Cinderella in the lobby and not a princess meal so to speak.

CRT. It's my daughter's favorite and the only reason we go right now is for her. (I do think the castle is interesting too.)

If you do like Ariel and want to see her at a meal and with legs then Askerhaus is probably your best bet. I have never heard of Ariel being at CRT. My guess is that with Ariel in fins at the Grotto nearby, the proximity and difference in appearance may be disconcerting to some kids. My wife takes our daughter to the Grotto to scratch that itch.

I have seen all of the other princesses except Jasmine at CRT and have read of others that have seen her there.

I voted for CRT as I have not eaten at Akershus since it switched to the Princess Dining. I do have it booked for dinner, for our trip in May though for DGD who will be 3. Did not want to use 2 TS credits again for CRT and this way we can do dinner and meet princesses. I am a little nervous about the possible food choices though. We loved our experience at CRT. Order the Major Domo pie. It was really good. If your daughter's don't mind having the Fairy Godmother and the mice, instead of princesses, then do this. It is a wonderful experience to eat in the castle.

I voted for Akershus because if you're looking for Princesses, CRT doesn't have Princesses at dinner (just Cindy at the door). Akershus has Princesses for all meals. We've done dinner and breakfast at Akershus and prefer breakfast because we didn't care for the Norwegian food.

Everyone has different likes/dislikes.

We really like Akershus. We did dinner last time and everyone really enjoyed it. We already have an ADR for dinner this upcoming trip too. I am more of an adventurous eater. DH and DS, not so much. They had the Kjottkake with is just like a meatloaf, served with fresh veggies and mashed potatoes, nothing too strange. The salmon is usually good too.

DD6 loved seeing all the princesses, and for 1TS plus the photo package, it's a great value if you are on the DDP. :)

If you can do only one, than I'd say CRT for breakfast or lunch with the princesses, that way you get the princesses, AND eating in the castle.

If want great princess interaction and dont' want to use up 2 dining credits at the castle, then I'd say go with Akershus for breakfast.

If you can do both - I'd say do Akershus for breakfast with the princesses, and then do CRT for dinner. No princesses, but we really enjoyed dinner there last time and thought the little show with the fairy godmother and mice was really cute!

I voted for Akershus - we've had breakfast twice and would do it again next time! The food was wonderful and the princess interaction was great. The inside of the restaurant is very castle-like and royal. Pictures are included in your price.

We've seen Belle (yellow dress for the picture), Aurora, Snow White, Ariel, Mulan, Mary Poppins, and Jasmine between the 2 breakfasts.

We like seeing lots of princesses, so for that reason, we wouldn't choose CRT for dinner.

Thanks for taking the time to go through the pros and cons for me! I am leaning toward Akershus, because I want to see several princesses, and I can't do CRT for B or L.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!:thanks:

I voted for Askerhaus. We have eaten at CRT for Dinner and Akerhaus for lunch. At the former There was little character interaction, the service was rude, the food was barely edible, and we were ridiculously rushed.
At the latter the character interaction was great. The food was the best we had that trip and we were able to relax and have a nice family meal.

Thanks for all the advice. We are going to Askerhaus for princess breakfast on our first trip to WDW. My daughters like alot Princesses, not just Cinderella so I hope they will enjoy the breakfast. I wasn't sure about the L and D so I'm going with something I know they will like to eat. Do girls dress up in princess dresses for the event? Is there a special picture package to buy with it? Thanks!

You will definitely see some little princesses while you are there. The picture package is included with the meal and they will deliver it to your table before you leave.
