I'm sure people probably already know this, but it was new to me. I just made ADRs for our trip in July. We are dining at Akershus and I had to provide my credit card info. There is a 48 hr. cancellation policy and if you cancel inside that window, they charge your card a fee of $10/person (I think that's right). The woman I spoke with explained that the restaurant has become incredibly popular, thus all the extra regulations. Just thought I'd let people know, because I was making small talk with the woman on the phone while I ran around my apt. searching for my credit card!

Hi...I called 180 +3 for this restaurant. I wanted 12.30pm but had to go with 12.50pm. I was surprised some slots were gone already.

Did you get the time you wanted?

We wanted 6pm and got 6:10 (and I called this morning for a July 21st reservation). I guess when they changed the restaurant to "all character dining all the time" the place went on the hot list! all those little girls want to see their princesses! I am 25 and am going with my mother and we can't wait to watch the kids.

The popularity that increased when they went all princess is no doubt over the top due to the changes made at CRT. You get princesses without having to pay CRT prices or fork out the entire cost of the meal when making the reservations, or having to use two dining plan credits.

Personally, I miss the old Akershus. I liked the food a lot... and it was quiet.

I have to say that when I took my daughter (7) in December I could not get a princess lunch anywhere else, so we went to the AKershus. I was nervous about the food choices but actually LOVED this place. I felt the food was very good and the princess interaction was very good. I can't wait to try it again, this time for dinner.
