I am seriously considering doing this breakfast on our trip in December. My DD will be 12 and my DS will be 4. I know a lot of people like CRT the best, well, because of course Cinderella is there and in fact we did this last time we were there when DD was 8 and DS was 6 mos.

But my daughter is older and less interested in dressing like the princesses although I dare say she would still get a kick out of seeing them...DS loves  Mulan (hey a warrior princess!) and to a lesser extent Jasmine (she hangs with Aladin) and Mary Poppins. I understand that they are possibly on the roster of characters. I am personally a little excited at the prospect of seeing Snow White and is it possibly true-Princess Aurora? I mean how many times do you see Sleeping Beauty in the Parks? Ironically, the most popular of all the possible characters seems to be Belle, who is probably our least favorite-although I highly support a brainy well read Princess! :cool1:

Anyhow, since I really have no friends/family who have done this one-can anyone tell me their experiences- including food, setting and character interaction? I'd be most grateful :)

Thnak you,

Patricia

Our family has done both breakfasts and we like Norway better. The food is better, the service is better and we like all the princesses. We have seen Mulan every time. After they changed CRT, it's way to expensive.

We have booked Norway for our November trip.

We have also done both breakfasts several times and prefer the Storybook Breakfast. I know they say the princesses can vary, but on each trip we've seen Snow White, Mulan, Jasmine, Aurora and Belle.

I think the Akershus is very pretty with it's white walls and and dark wood. Each table has fresh orange juice, cinnamon rolls and a fresh fruit bowl with strawberries, cantalope and honeydew melon. The server brings milk, coffee and if you ask for tea, a chest with a variety of Twinings teas.

Breakfast is served in an iron skillet that has scrambled eggs, sausage. bacon, cheesy potatoes. biscuits and honey butter. If you'd like more of anything, all you need to do is ask and it's gladly replenished.

The princesses are charming and the waitstaff very attentive.

Another vote for Akershus!!! I have done both CRT and Storybook 3 times each and still LOVE ALL of the Princesses at Akershus! They seem to be more friendly there and the food is way better and much cheaper!

We loved our experience w/ breakfast in Norway with the princesses :) Funny you should mention Belle... she was the one character my then 4.5 yr old DD wanted to meet and she was not at our breakfast that day-we had Princess Aurora, Mary Poppins, Mulan, Jasmine, and Snow White......

I would definitely recommend dining here for the great character interaction and attentive waitstaff (well, at least what WE had at our breakfast :) )

Just booked Akershus for breakfast last minute today. I made reservations for CRT for dinner. At the time I was unaware that the princesses are not there for dinner. Therefore, I called and was lucky enough to get squeezed into the Storybook Princesses breakfast. My dd who turns 5 on the trip loves the Princesses and is obsessed with Mary Poppins. Really looking forward to this one. Thanks for easing my nerves.

We went to PSB in June and loved it. DD's got their pictures took with Belle as we entered. She also signed autographs and spoke to the girls for a minute. The other princesses we saw were Mulan, Snow White, Aurora and Jasmine. I was a little disappointed because even though she's not technically a princess I would loved to have seen Mary Poppins. But there is no guarantee. We had a 8:20 am ADR and we were seated about 15 minutes after arrival. We found the food to be pretty good, the service was fast and had no problems getting seconds or refills. Our servicer, while efficient wasn't the most friendly guy, but he did his job well. The princesses all spoke briefly, signed autographs and got pictures took, but they only stayed at the table maybe a minute each. I felt a little rushed and wished they had stayed a bit longer, but hey I got to see them all in the same place and didn't have to track them down individually. Overall, I felt it was worth it. Oh, and the friendliest princess of all to my DD's was Mulan. SHe actually stayed at the table about 5 minutes. Hope ya'll have a great time!

Just did both PSB and CRT last week and we loved PSB! Will never do CRT again (ate there for both breakfast and dinner), but that's another story! We have eaten breakfast, lunch, and dinner at both and enjoy PSB much more for all three meals! :thumbsup2 The Princess interaction was much better at PSB and we saw all the ones you commented on: Belle in the greeting area...Aurora, DD's favorite and so wonderful(she remembered seeing DD 2 other times that week!) pixiedust: Mulan was great and talked about kicking HunnyBuns! :rotfl: Jasmine also remembered DD and carried on a long conversation...but the best was Snow White who sat at our table and commented about how she much preferred orange juice families to those who drank apple juice and picked up my glass and toasted DH's with it! :lmao: :rotfl2: They were all so very magical! Please, enjoy PSB, it is so very worth it! :cheer2:

Must agree that the PSB is very good. We've done it three times and had Snow, Aurora, and Jasmine each time, plus one of the following as a fourth: Mary Poppins or Mulan. Belle, in her ball gown, was the official greeter on our last trip in June. If you're interested, here's a link to my review: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1135973
Enjoy! :thumbsup2

Did you get french toast, too? The menu on all ears lists it.
