Does anyone have a review (hopefully with pictures) of the princess breakfast at Akershus? We are taking our little princess in May and would love to know what to expect. Thanks much!
We love the place. We have 2 little girls ages 7 and 4 and they love being able to get autographs and pics with a variety of princesses. Now the food isn't spectacular, but it is the experience that we go for. They usually start out with finger foods like fresh meats and veggies before they take your order from a fairly limited menu. But the bread pudding is awesome and like I said, the experience has been great every time.
When you arrive, they will have a "feature" princess. They will pose your princess with the feature princess and take a professional photo with her. She will sign autographs and be extra sweet to your princess.
Next they will show you to your table, and as you are going through your dining experience, each princess will visit your table personally. This is your chance to get personal photos with them and let them sign your princesses autograph book. Towards the end of the meal someone will come by with your professional photo and if you want to purchase it you can. (We always do because they always turn out cute).
Hope this helps. As I said, the food is not spectacular but it is all about the experience!
We have done breakfast at Akershus twice - and we love it! The food is very good and the princesses are very charming. The inside of the restaurant is very castle-like. It's a good time for the little girls to dress up if they want to.
We did the Askerhaus breakfast last October and my niece (4) loved it! She was so excited to see all the princesses. Food was ok. Typical buffet/family style food.
