Which is better breakfast or lunch? Are they buffet or -plated??

How do you get in for breakfast if WS doesn't open til 11am?

Does it have good character interaction?

If I make reservations, can I cancel the day before without penalty?-We are going to CRT and I would like to make an ADR at Akershus in case DD doesn't get to see all her favorite princesses.

We went for lunch two years ago. Adults really liked the food. The kids thought it was ok, but they weren't there for the food anyway...

We are going for breakfast in a few weeks, so I'll be glad to have the two experiences to compare. Not sure how they let you in. Maybe with the confiramtion number?

The princess interaction was top notch when we were there. I couldn't have asked for a better experience for my daughters.

Not sure about the fine print for cancellations.....you better check that one out.

We love Akershus for breakfast just to get in before opening. LOL If you have a dining reservation before opening time, they have one gate you go to and they have a list of names. They let you in and on your walk to Akershus you can get the best photos with everything pretty much to yourself. The only other people we saw from the front gate to the restaurant was 2 CMs.

Akershus for breakfast is part plated, part buffet. If I remember correctly, eggs, bacon, ham, biscuits, and potatoes are served family style to your table, then there is a buffet of other items.

We really enjoyed the breakfast food. As PP stated, part plated and part buffet-style. The princess interaction was great! Our reservation was for 10:20ish and we just walked over there. Maybe somebody asked us, but I don't remember!

I think since you don't leave a credit card number for this reservation there is no penality for cancelling.

I just made an ADR for the first week of January and I had to provide a cc to make the ADR. Said I owuld be charged a no show fee if I didn't cancel within 2 days.

A $10 fee will be charged to your credit card per person if you do not cancel more than 48 hours in advance.
We ate breakfast here in Sept. The food was good and we are likely to return on a future trip. Our DD4 had her picture taken with Belle before being seated. The picture was included. Snow White, Auroa, Ariel, and Cinderella visited our table for autographs and pictures.

Subject to change, but we have seen her twice at breakfast.

we had breakfast there this past May with four adults and two children. The food was fantastic ...both the platters that were brought to the table as well as the buffet choices.....
The princesses were ...Belle, who we had our photo taken with at the beginning..Ariel, Princess Aurora, Cinderella, Snow White...It was the best interaction with any of the characters .....Even our 6 year old grandson had a great time..
They took plenty of time with each of the children at all the tables.....so no rushing thru...

thanks everyone! I went on last night to make a reservation and it did require a cc to reserve. I think we will do it anyway and plan on going. THat would be such a thrill for dd to see all her princesses again after CRT and maybe she will see some different ones.

I can't answer all of the questions but here's my $0.02.

We did lunch in September and it was part plated and part buffet. We all thought the food was fantastic.

For us the character interaction was wonderful. The princesses were so gracious and attentive. Belle and Ariel danced and twirled with my DD3. Outstanding IMO. We will definitely do Akershus again.

I don't know about the cancellation policy. I thought it was either 48 or 72 hours but I could be totally off on that.

I had breakfast there with my niece. We went to the washroom and they cleared our table. I had left the camera sitting on the table, my backpack beside the table and the bill was still sitting on the table also. They didn't check to see that I hadn't paid yet. I was not impressed. I let them know we were not done when we returned to the table. The CM clearing said sorry. I couldn't find a manager.
