Akershus question-Ariel

Is Ariel at the Princess breakfast at Akershus? I see her name at lunch and dinner but not breakfast.

No Ariel is not at breakfast. When we were there in Dec. the pic package was with Belle and the other princesses were Mulan, Jasmine,Aurora and Snow White.

Nope, she was not there for breakfast last month either. We saw the above princesses and then when we walked out Mary Poppins was standing in WS between Norway & Mexico with NO ONE around her at all!

Oh, that's kind of nice to know! We did dinner there in September and were underwhelmed with the food, so we were planning for a breakfast when we go back in December. We saw Ariel at the dinner (where my dd#1 asked her a riotous question, but that's in another thread so I won't bore y'all), but we haven't seen Mulan before (one of my faves!) or Snow White!

Nice to know that even though we've 'done' Akershus before, we'll all have something 'new' too!

We had her for breakfast Oct 06 but we went back in Jan 09 and she wasnt there

We did dinner there in September and were underwhelmed with the food, so we were planning for a breakfast when we go back in December.

Be prepared to be underwhelmed with the food at breakfast, too. At least, IMO. But, the characters were very gracious and each one stopped to chat with our daughter. I would do it again not for the food, but for the character interaction. We didn't see Ariel, but Belle was outside to take pics with, and the characters that interacted were Snow White, Aurora, Jasmine, and Mulan. (We went in November of last year.)

We loved the food at this breakfast! We felt it was the best breakfast we had on our Dec. trip (much better than CRT) and we have an adr to go back in May. I know everyone has their own opinions but I think this is a great breakfast. Very good food and the princesses are delightful!

I'm not a big 'breakfast' person anyway. But, the menu looks pretty acceptable to our group - some scrambled eggs, bacon/sausage, a bit of fruit, and I'm intrigued to learn what the "potato casserole" is . . ..

We got lucky and had her for breakfast in January (I was so surprised to see her). Now, if my DD2 hadn't fallen on her head as we were meeting our first princess, SB, everything would have been great!

I'm not a big 'breakfast' person anyway. But, the menu looks pretty acceptable to our group - some scrambled eggs, bacon/sausage, a bit of fruit, and I'm intrigued to learn what the "potato casserole" is . . ..

We liked the breakfast in late October, both the food and the character interaction! The fruit is on the buffet and there were different types, and cold options up there. The sausage, bacon, eggs, and potato casserole were served family style -- seems like there were pastries too, either at the table or on the buffer -- and you can go back up to the buffet as much as you'd like, and they will bring more plates of family style food for as much as you'd like, or you can just ask for more eggs, more sausage, etc.

The potato casserole was kind of like roasted potatoes, not as chopped up as hash browns, somewhat seasoned but not spicy seasoned if you get my drift. My DH is very picky and he LOVED the potato casserole! Actually all of the adults on the trip thought that the food was really good -- now, the selection is nowhere near what we had at Chef Mickey's or what I read is at Boma or CP (both on our list for September trip) but DH is asking to go back again! Enjoy!

Is this new? I thought Belle was the greeter at all meal. My DD is going to be in heaven if it's Ariel!!! I wasn't going to bring her Ariel costume but mabye now I will.

I guess it's possible Ariel will be up front, but Belle is usually the greeter.

We were there last month and the greeter was Belle. I was curious to if she is the main greeter and was told at Akershus that she usually is because Belle's dress makes it difficult to move from table to table in restaurant, so if Belle is there, she's more than likely going to be the greeter. Like anything else though, this is subject to change, and the other princesses do rotate as the greeter.

Here is a pic of Ariel who is also my DDs favorite. This is the only place to find Ariel with legs. We had lunch there in September. Belle was greeting as usual.

We didn't see Ariel at breakfast either. We are going for dinner this time in the hope of seeing her as she is dd6 favourite and has been for years. If it wasn't for Ariel we would go back for breakfast though. This was our favourite meal last time. The potato casserole was fantastic. And I loved the smoked salmon that I had on a bagel with cream cheese. mmm I wonder if I can talk dh into both.
