Im going with a family of 6, adn their DD4 really really wants to see the princesses but the two boys (6 adn 10) dont want to go to that dinner at all so we were wondering if the food was worth the money sinc ethe boys dont care about the princesses....if not, the boys would go with their dad somewhere else to eat....
so basicaly what im wondering is...is th efood at Akershus for dinner any good or should we send the guys somewhere else to eat?

send the boys somewhere else!........IMHO, you are going to that dinner not for the food, but for the atmosphere.

You will find DISers on here that love the food. Be aware that for adults it IS Norwegian cooking. The children's meals are the same as the other places...just check out the menus.

I think the boys would enjoy something else much more.

Thanks!!! thats what i kinda figured that teh food for the kids is the same as everywhere else...i think we'll make that a girls only dinner (and the baby) and send the guys to grab something to eat adn do rides while we enjoy the princesses
Ive been so many times and have never met the princesses:confused3 I'm as excited as the 4 yr old is:rotfl:

Our food for lunch on 04-30 was very good, but not anywhere in the ballpark of the cost. Also the lettuce at the salad bar was brown and wilted. It's all about the experience. I used to enjoy eating lunch there before the princess program. You could eat lunch for about $15.00 each and it was well worth it.

Just a suggestion. If you're going to send the boys somewhere else, just down the way to the Biergarten would be great. :)
