My DD is turning 4 and we are going to go for a girls' meal with the princesses, but I can't decide which one! Can't decide which meal either. :confused3 Any suggestions would be appreciated! We are going with my DH, DS and father, but they aren't going with us to the meal. We are going in late May.

If we go to Akershus, we would go to lunch as our break during Epcot day. Simplest plan-wise, but if it isn't as magical of an experience, then I'd rather do CRT.

Our day at MK is pretty full, but I was thinking we would be able to do a second day/partial day at MK with breakfast or lunch or dinner at CRT and do AK during the rest of the day. Does that sound possible or like a good idea?

Thank you for any help!

I've been to both with my daughters, and I am of the opinion that Akershus wins over CRT in food quality, princess interaction, and bang-for-the-buck. CRT wins on being inside the castle, but that's it. I'm not saying it's a bad experience, just that Akershus wins for us. Breakfast at Akershus is also nice, because you can get an ADR before Rope Drop, and have a nice walk through a mostly empty Futureworld.

Enjoy, whatever your choice.

I agree with the PP. We like Akershus better than CRT on every category except the venue. Our DD loved the experience of eating inside Cinderella's Castle. Akershus doesn't quite have the regal feel inside the restaurant that CRT does. Interactions are far better and less rushed at Akershus.

If you decide to go to CRT and park hop between AK and MK, I would opt for CRT dinner and head over to MK after you finish touring AK which you should be able to do by 5-6pm. Would avoid lunch since park hopping twice could eat up a lot of time with transportation.

Hope you have a good time!

I've taken my 4-year-old to a girls breakfast at both and she would choose CRT any day of the week. For a 4-year-old (or at least mine), dining in Cinderella's castle is about as good as it gets. The character interaction was about the same for us at both restaurants.

There's nothing like taking a little girl to CRT. We've taken my DD to both, and she would pick CRT over Akershus any day. I like the food at both, but far prefer the atmosphere and character interaction at CRT. When we went to Akershus for lunch it felt cramped and super crowded. Finding spots to snap pictures with the princesses was tough.

Like the previous poster said, I would go to AK first since they close so much earlier and head to CRT for a late lunch or dinner.

Food is definitely better at Akershus in my opinion (dinner). Also you can see Mary Poppins there. Lunch and dinner are better food at CRT in my experience as compared to breakfast. CRT is less cramped and less rushed. However. CRT is inside the castle. Just getting inside that place was the big deal for my DD when she was 5, 6 and 8. By 10 she was over it. So for me, if location and space for the character interaction are key, choose CRT. If food quality is more important, choose Akershus. Also if Belle is more of a favourite character choose Akershus. You get a photo of Belle in her yellow ball gown. It's quite a dress!
