We just got back a few weeks ago from a trip where we did both of these. We did Akershus for breakfast and 1900 Park Fare for both breakfast and dinner. For food, in my opinion, it was hands down 1900 PF, no question! The food at Akershus was fine, but nothing special. For characters, we lucked out at both. For 1900 breakfast we had my favorites of Alice and Mad Hatter plus Mary Poppins, Pooh and Tigger. They were all great and Alice and MH couldn't have been more perfectly cast! For dinner there we had Cinderella, the prince, the step-sisters and the Stepmother. Again, amazing group of charcters who really get into thier gig. The stepsisters are a riot! Now, it's my understanding that you're really not guaranteed of who you get for the dinner and that some days it's just Cinderella and her prince. The stepsisters were the ones who truly made the experience though. For Akershus we were greeted by Belle and got the picture with her. Then making the rounds were Cinderella, Snow White, Ariel and Sleeping Beauty. The princesses were all wonderful. I would say that it was here where more time was spent at each table by the princesses. We're heading back in September and will be doing dinner at 1900 PF and the breakfast at Akershus again. If you're looking for dinners only, I can't attest to the food at Akershus, but can assure you of some tasty food at 1900. Honestly, you can't go wrong with either of these fabulous places though. :) Have fun!!

Oh- I have no clue about getting back to your hotel. We eat earlier. Sorry.

For dinner? 1900 Park Fare with Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine and the Stepsisters!!

For breakfast? Akershus with the Princesses!

We do 1900 Park Fare for breakfast and dinner every trip. Breakfast is always Alice, Mad Hatter, Mary Poppins, Tigger & Pooh and dinner is always Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, Anastasia and Druscilla. We've never had any variation in characters. The food here has always been very good. Character interaction is fabulous. The step-sisters are a hoot, as is Alice and the Mad Hatter.

Akershus Princess Breakfast is also a family favorite. So far, Belle has always been the greeter and then we've had four other princesses, which switch around. We've seen Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Jasmine, Mulan, Ariel and Cinderella. Food is good, but not as good as 1900 Park Fare.

If you can only do one, and your daughters love princesses, i would do Akershus, just because you get to see a lot of princesses all at once.

My friend was at Park Fare for dinner the week after I was and only got Cinderella, Prince Charming and Lady Tremaine. :( I felt bad because the stepsisters are too funny to miss!!

I'm hoping we get Jasmine and Mulan on our next trip. We ended up seeing Cinderella four times during the trip and Snow White, Ariel and Aurora two each. As wonderful as they are, I'd love the "more rare" princess too. I agree, if it's the princess aspect that is the deal-breaker Akershus is the way to go. (From parental entertainment, I can't give up Park Fare. :lovestruc )

Don't let the transportation keep you from 1900 Park Fare dinner. That is our favorite character dinner! You can just grab a cab in front of GF and have it take you back to the Swan. It won't cost you much.

If you are trying to choose between them, this is my way of describing the difference between "princess" meals and the Happily Ever After dinner with the stepsisters... the princesses are kind and loving and will talk to your children and be great photo ops (every princess lovers dream), but the stepsisters/stepmother at 1900 Park Fare make it into an event. Drizella invited my son to the ball and danced with him at dinner, then she and Anastasia spent the rest of the time arguing over him. It was a blast! My kids don't talk about the princess meals in the same way that they crack up about their experience with Cinderella and the stepsisters.

Hope this helps a little.
