My dd's are not extremely big into characters or princesses (unfortuantely they are growing up too fast), however they did see someone's clip of the stepsister at 1900 Park Fare being silly and thought that a princess meal might be fun. We've only done character meals with the non talking sorts. We want some good food too, so we want to know which of these two meals are the most fun and has the best food. We won't be doing breakfast, so it'll either be a late lunch or dinner.

1900 PF has Cinderella and the step-sisters, etc. for dinner only. Akershus has classic Norweigan fare plus a buffet of cold cuts and salads. If your dd's are adventurous eaters and like to try new things, then Akershus has nice princess interaction with the princesses visiting each table for a short time (most girls dress up as princesses when dining here), available lunch and dinner. Breakfast is a princess meal too, but you said you weren't interested in BF. 1900 PF has a mixed buffet of more traditional American type foods and the character interaction is funny and interactive. Menus can be found on allears.net.

If your girls are a little older and you are looking for the more entertaining venue, then I would def. say 1900 PF for dinner. Akershus is all princesses and is very laid back and quiet. 1900 PF (dinner) is much more entertaining b/c the stepsisters like to put on a show.

yeah, the girls are definitely looking for fun vs just seeing the princesses. Now by picking 1900 Park Fare we are giving up Boma, is it worth that? The girls don't know what to expect at Boma as we've never been there or to AKL, which was one of the reasons we had originally picked it.

Hey ladies,
I have done both and while bth were fun, 1900 park fare ROCKS!!
Not only was the food 10 times better (we went for dinner - prime rib, strawberry soup everything was DEE-LISH) the character interaction was awesome. The stepsisters were very funny especially Anastasia.
When we arrived, Prince Charming seated us signed autographs etc.. then tld us to proceed to the buffet. While we were there, I heard someone screaming my name so I came running back to the table where I found Anastasia, she was "annoyed" because we were not there to greet her, we had about 15 minutes of interaction with her and Lady Tremain.
Then Cinderella came over to see us, she recognized us from the previous day and talked to us, then she and Prince charming waltzed, she turned to our youngest son and asked him to waltz. It was a great night we all agreed that the food was the best we had.
So that is my story, I am going to try to attach photos.

We loved 1900... our girls were very entertained by the step-sisters. One of them even razzed our youngest because she had her face painted that day- the girls got a kick out of it! The food was excellent and the decor was beautiful!:thumbsup2

I'll vote for 1900 park fare Dinner. I have never been but i think the whole concept of cinderella and her Ssisters is great. Not only do you eat but you get a show. I have an ADR for my May trip an 1900PF.

We are stuck on that same question!! I am leaning towards 1900 though, it just seems fun!! I am just a bit leery as DD will be 5, and I am not sure if the entertainment will be age apropriate for her. She loved the step-sisters in Jan when we went, but this is different that the meet and greets...

It sounds like between the two we'll pick 1900 Park Fare. Thanks guys.
