My four year old loves Snow White and Jasmine. She likes Cinderella but really prefers the brunettes (being Italian and all, I guess that's good).

Anyway, we can do only one princess meal on our upcoming trip (because the boys won't tolerate more than that), but I'm torn. I've read some negative reviews of Akershus (which I made an ADR for because DD said she just wants to see lots of princesses), but now I'm thinking maybe I should have done 1900 Park Faire since so many people seem to prefer that one. Does anybody have any recent experiences with both to help me figure out which way to go?

Thanks in advance.

Not really recent, but we did both last fall.

I went into PSB expecting to hate it, but ended up liking quite a bit, and I'm very picky. They do have "plain" food like chicken pasta, etc. too. Dessert was really good. I'm glad that we tried it.

Being a buffet, we did enjoy Park Faire's food more.

Neither restaurant is on our list to go back to though - both were good but we enjoyed other places more.

If your DD wants to see lots of princesses, I'd recommend keeping PSB.

As far as breakfast goes...We've given up on Akershus because the food and the service are just lousy (we've gone 3x)...that's enough for us. We have not done lunch or dinner so I can't give you feedback on that.

Keep in mind, if you decide not to go here, you can take her to see Snow White at MK's Toontown as she's usually there for meet & greets in the Big Tent. Jasmine is a little tougher to come by but she does make appearances at Morocco in Epcot and sometimes she's with Aladdin.

I haven't been to Park Fare's breakfast in a while but I was always impressed with it, the food was always very good and from reviews I've read it seems it's still up to par. But, dinner was another story, I think it's very over rated and very over priced for typical buffet fare.

We went to PSB for Lunch 1:20PM in March. I made the ADR very last minute because I wanted DD4 not to be disappointed by missing any princesses. We were all very happy with the princesses at lunch..Belle, Jasmine, Aurora, Mulan, and Ariel. We were slightly disappointed about missing Snow White but we took a quick walk to Germany and saw her right away(no line!). I thought the food was fine but I like salad and almost always order chicken/vegatables. It was nice to see vegatables on the kids plates too, after 2 straight days of nothing but chicken fingers/fries. We also went to CRT for dinner and although being in the castle and seeing Cinderella was cool the food was terrible. So we got 5 princess/better food at PSB for 1TS Credit and 1 Princess/Bad Food for 2TS Credits at CRT. In the end, so glad I could do the PSB for DD4 as it was the highlight of her trip and therefore mine too! We will be doing GF next time not CRT based on the food/price disappointment at CRT.

We just did PSB 2 days ago. We had a 10:20 seating and the food and service was good. DD4 was thrilled because Belle was the greeter in her yellow dress and DD4 was wearing her yellow Belle dress. Snow White, Mulan, Jasmine and Mary Poppins were also there. When we left breakfast, they were starting to get the lunch crowd in and Ariel was the greeting princess. We also saw Jasmine with Aladdin in Morocco, but we never did see Aurora. Belle was also in her blue dress in France but without the Beast. All the princesses (and Mary Poppins) spent a lot of time with the kids.

We did the PSB for dinner last September and my 3 year old was thrilled to meet Cinderella, Aurora, Belle, Ariel and Alice. The appetizer buffet had lots of choices (cheese, salads, smoked salmons, etc.) and it was nice that the kids meal choices included boneless chicken breast and not just chix finger or hot dogs. I had grilled salmon which was decent, this wasn't the best dinner that we had as far as food but the princesses really made the dinner for us. We are going back this September and my daughter has already requested that we attend the PSB dinner again.

Hi-- We are trying both this trip... but we decided to do the Akershus breakfast because of these boards. I have heard such great things about the Princess Character interaction at Akershus that we had to try it. Could you try breakfast instead of dinner?

have a great trip-- jen

We did the PS breakfast 3-05 and loved it. They princesses all stopped and met with our DS and DD. DS was a little embarassed as he was 10, but we all enjoyed it. The breakfast potatoes were great.

Definitely OT, but the chilled strawberry soup at 1900 Park Faire would get me to book ADR's there before I ever considered the princess breakfast / lunch at Akerhus.

We did the Princess Dinner in Norway June '05 and it was magical. It was beyond anything that I was hoping for, particularly after a very rough start (got the restaurants mixed up, cranky DS for her 3rd BDay).

We had Cinderella (yes, Cinderella - I have pics! :) ), Ariel, Jasmine, Belle and Aurora. The princesses were /AMAZING/. My DS (5) got so much attention. Ariel asked him who his favourite princess was, and he answered "Cinderella". Well, that just started it. She got all "huffy", and asked him if he preferred blonds. Then every princess that came by afterwards, she came back and got him to repeat what she said. Cinderella, being very regal, didn't make too much of a fuss, but Jasmine got very huffy and asked "What about brunettes?" and then tricked him into a kiss. She gave him a kiss, and he got a big lipstick mark on his face.

The dad at the next table was all "How do I get in on that deal? :)

The food? Gotta be honest...never noticed it. Was close to tears watching my kids.

We have already done CRT (B,L), PSB (B), and Park Fare (D) on previous trips. Since we are getting the free dining, we chose two- PSB (D) and Park Fare (D). CRT was always a must do before the changes were made. I know DD3 would love to do it again, but I think she will enjoy the Princesses at PSB better (her favorite at the moment is Ariel). The food at Park Fare is probably the best of the bunch, plus Cindy is there (so we can skip CRT). But, if you are looking for the most bang for your buck as far as Princesses go, pick PSB.

I haven't done Norway since the changes, but used to love dinner there. Just did 1900 Park Faire last week and thought the food and character interaction was excellent. However if you are looking for many princesses, Akershus is the place to go. Cinderella is the only princess at 1900 Park Faire, but Fary Godmother may be a bigger hit (she was to my 2 nieces)

princess: My vote would be to stay at Akershus...we went to the lunch last April(right after they added more seatings) and had a blast. It was my DD's 5th Birthday and we saw Belle, Aurora, Jasmine, Ariel(with feet!!) and...Cinderella too!! Since it was her birthday they all made a point of signing the card the server had given her earlier and the fact that we saw 5 special ladies in one sitting was definitely worth the price of admission.

Everyone enjoyed the food as well...the adults got to choose from 5 entrees(lamb, chicken, salmon and 2 vegetarian options) and the kids picked from basic PB&J, Pasta w/meatballs, Hotdog or Mac & Cheese...thry also brought an appetizer plate for both kids and adults(my husband ate every smoked meat & cheese item on the plate!) and last, and best of all(aside from all the princesses, of course) a dessert plate with 3 delicious choices to taste and share: rice cream w/strawberries, choc mousse and lingonberry tart. (by the way, I don't have that good a memory, I just saved the menu!)

We also tried the 1900 Park Fare for dinner last month...it was nice to see Cinderella with Prince Charming but I don't think it compared price wise to the Princess meal. The buffet was tasty with lots of choices and I plan on going again next year, but mainly for the memories(it was on my birthday that trip) and the fast that we walked out the back door and strolled down toward Narcoossee's and watched the MK fireworks...then caught the water light parade.

So, if what you want is more Princesses, stay with Akershus. If you want a little more of the "awe" factor, go with Park Fare.
