We have adrs for Jan 6. Will holiday pricing be in effect then?

All ears has the breakfast buffet at 39.00 for adult and my disney dining app has it for 29.00. Is All Ears showing holiday pricing? If so, I thought it was only an increase of $3-4 dollars.

We are not on the dining plan so I am thinking if it's going to be that high, I will just cancel. For four people, it all adds up.

We have already paid for CRT so we will get our princess meal.

Sorry I can't help you with the dates for holiday pricing. I had an ADR booked for Akershus breakfast in March. I just cancelled it after seeing the new price. I made the ADR in September, and the adult price was like $28.99. I can't believe the price increased to $39.40. That is ridiculous! Getting a free picture package is no justification for that price. We are still going to do CRT for breakfast because we are going for DD birthday and that's her favorite place.

so, that is just the new pricing? Ouch!
I am going to cancel too. We have breakfast booked at CRT so dd will see her princesses. Akershus was just a bonus.

Regular pricing on fixed price restaurants at WDW appears to be exploding. The unofficial websites don't seem to be able to keep up with the price increases. And it appears Disney still does seasonal "peak" pricing, but they no longer announce the dates, which apparently means they can declare anytime to be "peak pricing" that they wish.

I don't understand... how can we all plan our meals and get ADRs and NOT have duplicates when they will randomly raise the prices so much? I am going in Dec then again in March (once on free dining but the second without) and this is making it so hard to plan! Is there an 'end date' for the changes? Or will 2011 price increases continue even after new years day?

I don't recall ever seeing the prices rise this fast and still am not sure if they reflect actual pricing or some sort of disconnect with the unofficial websites that post menus (these should never be considered to be a completely accurate account of what the costs are or what the menu items will be at any future time). But I wouldn't be surprised if it was actual pricing. I don't see this kind of meteoric price rise on a la carte menus although they're still expensive. Disney likely knows full well that guests on the dining plan are not paying attention to the pricing except to see what kind of deal they are getting.

No way to know what will happen in 2011.

All Ears has the price listed for what you pay now, which is peak pricing. $40.00/adult plus tip for breakfast is nuts! I just called a few minutes ago to check on Akershus pricing, and so besides now, March - April and June - August are the next peak periods in effect. I'm pretty sure that the peak pricing will have ended by Jan. 6th, so you would take $4.00/adult and $2.00/child to figure out pricing. I'm not sure of the accuracy of the above poster who said she was quoted a price of $28.99 for breakfast in September at Akershus - we priced out breakfast at Akershus for July, and it was a bit higher (the 4.00 holiday surcharge was in effect, but if you take that out, it was more than $28.99). But remember, the price of $40.00 does include tax.

As Nala said, Disney is raising prices all of the time, plus they are adding crazy holiday surcharges. Since they print up new menus and signs for the time you are dining, they don't advertise, nor separately charge the holiday surcharges on receipts. Prices are continually adjusted throughout the year according to their seasons.

Hope this helps, Tiger
