Akershus for breakfast or dinner?

I'm trying to decide which one would be better to do at Akershus, breakfast or dinner. I have a ds(8) who is very picky and might like the breakfast better but he would still probably only eat the scrambled eggs and cinnamon rolls. I have a couple of questions on the breakfast meal. First are the cinnamon rolls plain, like they don't have raisins do they? And is there also a buffet at breakfast and if so what is on it?
And if you did the dinner there, what did your kids enjoy? Especially if your kids are picky like my ds. I see on the menu they have a hot dog served with corn...my ds would probably like that, has anybody ordered this for their kids and how was it?
We want to do a meal here for our dd who loves the princesses!princess:

Thanks.:)

We loved the dinner we had last week. The appetizer bar had rolls, salad, seafood, rolled meat such as turkey and ham. My kids ate very well. They had pizza and grilled chicken for their entrées. My son is allergic to milk, and the chef said everything except the rolled ham would be obviously labeled (cheese, sour cream, etc.) She also said the veggies are boiled with no butter or margarine.

Also, the princesses were excellent! My daughter ate her pizza so carefully and even asked us if she had any on her face! (had to look good for the princesses!)princess: We had Aurora, Snow White, Ariel, Alice, and Jasmine...with Snow White being the photo op.

My Son tolerated the princesses, and thought it was funny when Ariel gave him 5 and said "give me some fin.."

i did the dinner in dec of 2005, i liked it but my kids did not
i am goin to the breakfast in april with the hopes that my kids eat a bite of something b4 the princesses come out. either way money well spent to see my girls faces

We did the breakfast because my super picky nieces would only eat the breakfast foods..it worked out really well, we got the first seating, the food was very good (nice selection) and the Princesses were awesome.

Nice to get into the park before everyone else. If they sit you in the back left corner by the kitchen that is the best spot, the Princesses come out that door and visit you first. We were there at 8:30 am and by 9 am we saw all the girls!

My kids really liked their dinner here in July. One had pizza and two had pasta. The cold buffet has some good stuff for picky kids (fresh fruit, bread), and dessert is very, very good.

Plus, the princesses make it very nice. We had Ariel (in the lobby), Jasmine, Aurora, Alice, and Belle. It was DD's favorite thing of the entire trip.

We did the lunch with the Princess and saw all of the EXCEPT Cinderella who you get to meet in her home at the castle in DW. Food was good. Lots of photo op with all the Princess and Little Mermaid was the star of the show because she had a private area to take pics in.

Two older people came in but were struck by all the little and big Princcess running around that they left.

We had an unforgettable time there.

Dinner there was my favorite of the week (other than Wolfgang Puck's Dining Room). We had 3 kids with us (ages 3,4, and 8) and they ordered the Pizza and Hot Dogs and also ate Cheese and meat from the buffet. I ordered the Traditional Kjottkaker and it was AMAZING!! The princess interaction was FABULOUS!! We saw Ariel (when we first walked in for pics), Jasmine, Sleeping Beauty, Belle, Snow White and Cinderella even made an appearance (apparently she doesn't "normally"). I am sure that you will have fun no matter what you choose.

Thanks for all the replies. I am now leaning towards the Princess Story book Breakfast, considering we also have a lunch planned for CRT.
Just one more question that I haven't seen answered yet.

I know the breakfast food is brought to your table, but is there also a buffet open during breakfast and if so what is on it?:confused3

Thanks again for all the replies:)

We did the breakfast in December. It was wonderful! I can look for some pictures at home to upload here. They had (going from memory here) breads, fresh fruit, it was quite alot more food than I had expected! And then the platter was also brought to your table with other items. We intent to go back this year again. It was wonderful to knock all those princess autographs off the list and have a good meal!

Can't speak for the dinner, but the breakfast was great. I really wanted to do it again in August, but we're doing Donalds' Breakfastosaurus and Lilo and Stitch this time.

It's all family style.

No raisins!!!

We had dinner there two weeks ago. The girls, ages 3 and 5, loved the princesses but did not like the food. There were 7 of us and not one of us really liked the food. Next time, it will definitely be breakfast. I also do not like the fact that even though we took our own pictures, someone came over to us trying to get the picture package. Enough already. Sometimes they do not know the word "no". I hate it when they show the photos to the kids and then embarass the parents for not buying them.

I think I have added this to my list and taken the CP buffet breakfast off the list... I think it sounds like our family would enjoy this more - my daughter loves the princesses so it will be nice to know for sure she will see them
