Which one has better food and a better atmosphere?

How chaotic is the character dining at Akershus?

I enjoyed breakfast at Akershus much more than dinner. My Captain's Grille Dinner was yummy.

Breakfast wasn't chaotic, it was delish!!!!

we preferred breakfast at Akershus and the atmosphere and the princesses made the experience...the food was delish...
I didnt care for the Norway type of food for the lunch or dinner meals...just not my type..

WE'll be going to CG for dinner as well. I'll pass your review onto him since he loves pork. Our 1st time @ CG was in '09 & very nice & not so expensive
as some of the signatures.

We had dinner at both on our last trip. We definately enjoyed Akershus more than CG. We had an early reservation for Akershus. I ordered the salmon, which was excellent. There's an appetizer buffet too. That was good because my ds ordered a hot dog from the kid's menu and didn't care for it. He was able to get another plate of the things he liked iff the buffet. My dh and dd enjoyed their meals too. The character interaction was great. Snow White even stopped to sing happy birthday to my dh. The restaurant is beautiful inside. We'll be dining there again on our first night in 2 weeks.

Now in all fairness to the CG, we were not staying at the YC. It took us about 1.5 hours to go from FQ to YC. It was pouring rain too. So by the time we arrived we were stressed! It wasn't a problem; we were seated immediately. The decor was modest. I can't remember what we ate except my dd had the crab legs (the reason we chose it). The meal was just ok, and unless we're staying close by, it's not worth the effort for us to go back again.
