Akershus Breakfast

We really enjoyed it. The food was hot and fresh and delicious. The characters were great. Only thing that disappointed me was that people on here have gotten pancakes if their kids didn't want eggs. DS doesn't like eggs so I asked for pancakes and they said it was only for dietary restrictions. So I guess with that it just depends on who your waiter is. Other than that we enjoyed it!

Is this it all they serve ?

Yes pretty much. You get a platter of eggs, bacon, sausage and potato casserole. Then they have a buffet with breads, fruit, cheese, smoked meats, pastries, etc.

From what I remember yes. We did enjoy the food they had though and didn't really miss the pancakes and waffles. :goodvibes

We've got an ADR for August breakfast, and I guess I'm looking forward to the eggs, potatoes and meats rather than pancakes or waffles. Of course, that could be 'cause I'm gluten intolerant!

Just got back from eating there it was one of my favs of the trip. I will be reviewing it soon in my honeymoon dining review with pics of food. No sadly there were no waffles or pancakes it was different. Very very good and the princesses were terrific saw ariel, belle, snow white, aurora, and cinderella

We have been there twice and really liked the food, the Princesses are fantastic with kids of all ages.....last time we went was in January, if you click on my link you will find tons of pics and a full review.

FYI you can special order pancakes but not french toast or waffles

This is the deal I really am not going here for the princess since I have all boys and now they are older to. No interest to them. So I do feel bad going here and taking up a lil girls spot. On the other hand I have never eaten here before and I am on a mission to hit every place in DW .lol
What I am looking for is a place to eat breakfast that I didn't eat at before. We have 9:30 Segway tour again so I wanted to be close to Epcot.
As far as the food my boys can eat. I know my Blaise loves pancakes /waffles or French Toast. I was looking at Wolf Gang puck's. There aren't that many places that we haven't been to. I am looking for a sit down not a buffet. Since that is close to Epcot have you ever eaten there ?
So I know you have been around to like me so what are your thoughts please Nicki.
Thanks Roe :)

One of our favorite breakfast spots. It's the normal eggs bacon and potatoes. We love the fresh fruits.

Can't wait, just got our reservation for Sept. 21. Our daughter is 24 years old but has always loved the princesses at Disney. We're keeping this meal as a surprise for her. :cool1:

Happy B-Day 2 your daughter enjoy ur meal :)

If it's about the food I would go somewhere else. Don't get me wrong we really enjoyed hte food but it was slim pickings. DS isn't a big eater but he is a big breakfast eater. He loves pancakes and all that stuff. DH is a big eater and loves the omelets, pancakes, french toast, etc that the other places have.

We are going to skip Akershus this year (as long as I can get CRT) and just do CRT for lunch. I have CP, TH and CM's planned for breakfasts since there is more variety.

Hey Roe....If it were just DH and I eating breakfast I would not go to the Princess Meal, it is expensive and we are really just there for the food...I would go to another TS place or grab CS somewhere. It really is for the kids and besides, Jasmine is way too sexy in her outfit for DH to eat there :rotfl:

If we take the nieces again we will def eat at the Princess Meal, it was priceless watching the little one interact with her idols!

What about trying Cape May for breakfast, the food there is awesome! Or maybe eating at your resort instead?

That's my problem. I have been to most all of them and was looking for something different. IDK. I like to drive myself nuts! :rotfl2:
Maybe eat a r CS or go ck out WG puck express.
Thanks Nicki :)

We ate at Akershus in May with my mom who has celiac. She was able to eat the eggs and one of the meats (bacon or sausage - I can't remember which one). She couldn't eat the cheese potatoes so I think they brought her regular hash browns. The chef also brought out waffles and muffins.

Thanks for the info on the GF foods, which reminds me that I need to get my list of ADRs and other CS meals to Brenda in Special Diets. I've been reading that WDW really does a great job of handling special diets, etc.
