How is Akershus for breakfast? Is it a buffet or family style? Pancakes or waffles? Any info would be awesome! Thanks!

I am not sure how the breakfast is at Akershus, but i recently had a brunch there. It was a buffet style. The service was quick, and the food was great. I am quite picky when i comes to certain foods and i was pleasently surprised. I am assuming the breakfast is similar to the way the brunch is set up.

Hmm, breakfast doesn't look bad. I have breakfast ADRs for my DD4 and I on 4/29. She loves the princesses and scrambled eggs, not necessarily in that order:) It looks like she'll be able to indulge in both.

I am going for breakfast this year. Last time I went for lunch and the food was scary some kind of dry fish and cheese. Hoping breakfast is better. But really just went for the princesses.

We were there for the first seating on a Sunday this past Oct. It was awesome! There is a platter of food (they keep refilling it) with scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon and this delish potato casserole on it. There is also a buffet table with cold meats, cheeses, fruit, fish, breads and danishes.

The Princesses were so cool, they spent a lot of time with the girls. Try and sit in the back left by the door in the wall and the kitchen, that is where the princesses come out of.

Ok, I am getting conflicting info. MousekaMaddi, you seem to have been there most recently. What is served at an Akerhouse Breakfast? The pictures on the the dining pictures thread only showed 1. a bowl of fruit 2. scrambled eggs, hasbrowns, sausgage, bacon, and biscuits and 3. a plate of cinnamon buns (all brought to your table for a family style meal) Some peole have said that there is a cold buffet and now you've stated that there are pancakes and bagels. Are the pancakes new? Did you have to ask forthem special? What is on the cold buffet? Is there smoked salmon and cream cheese?

Sorry for so many questions its just that I'm starting to get really confused with all the conflicting info.

Anyone with recent experiences please help. Thanks.

I am wondering if there are pancakes and cooked to order food as well. In our family we have allergies to gluten - wheat, oats, barley etc... We have had a lot of luck at other character breakfasts because the chef has always cooked allergen free pancakes and waffles for us - (we are not big egg and meat eaters). I am wondering if waffles and pancakes are available - I'm sure that if they are on the menu the chef would accomodate us.

Any other input available? Thanks a bunch.

The cold buffet was fruit, pastries, and some fishy things (they did have smoked salmon). The waitress brought juice and coffee and the hot skillets that had scrambled eggs, cheesy hash brown potatoes, bacon and sausages. The princesses were all very sweet and signed autographs and posed for pictures but did not spend a lot of time at the table.

When I went last it was family style. The food wasn't anything great but the atmosphere is awesome.

Hi
I didn't think that they served bagels or pancakes. Some of our group won't eat eggs or meat. Did you have to ask for the pancakes or bagels? We're going most for the princesses, but would still like to have something that we like to eat. Thanks!

Not sure about bagels but if you want pancakes you just need to ask your server.
