Hello - is there any advantage still to an earlier Akershus breakfast now that FEA opens with the park at 9:00am? Does the Anna and Elsa meet start earlier as well?

Booking ADRs soon, and this will be our princess meal this trip (did CRT last time). Food doesn't much matter we just want the princess interactions, though kids will honestly eat familiar breakfast better. Also if there is no real advantage anymore I am inclined to book a later breakfast so we aren't as rushed in the morning, planning a FP for FEA.

Thank you!

If you have a PPO ADR (any time that’s PPO is treated the same) you will be let into the park a little before 8, and can be seated at 8, or a few minutes after. You can meet the Princesses, eat, and be out and in line for FEA before the rd crowd gets there.

They do have familiar breakfast items served all you can eat family style. There are more exotic things (mostly fish and cheeses) on the appetizer buffet, but they also have fruit.

However, the princesses can be a bit slow coming around the tables, and it is possible 9:00 could roll around and you are still waiting for one of them to come by. If this happens, you would wind up behind the initial rd crown for FEA, but I’ve read that the line would still be manageable.

Anna and Elsa start meeting at 9.

If you FP FEA, you won’t be able to FP TT and Soarin. It’s very hard to do TT without a FP, unless you RD it. It can be hit or miss getting TT as a 4th FP, often depending on if the ride has significant down time.

Of course, if you do a later breakfast, you can relax and enjoy it without watching the clock.

Thank you for the advice and input. We are planning two days in Epcot, this one would be mostly WS for DH and I so another day we'll Tier I TT. I'm inclined to take it easy and do a later breakfast if the Anna and Elsa meet starts at 9am also. Hoping to do Early Morning Magic the day before so not sure about two early days with kids. Thank you again!

We haven’t done a PPO at Akershus so I can’t help you with an idea of timing, but ...

We have done one of the last Akershus breakfast seatings (11:10 I think?) twice now.

We love doing that. Our kids really like breakfast food and we can also have a nice morning enjoying some park time before our ADR. On our late Akershus breakfast day, we give the kids a light breakfast on the go or in our room and then the late breakfast is our lunch.

In Sept. 2017 and May 2018, we did the Anna and Elsa meet and greet before our Akershus ADRs. The line was very manageable both times with actual waits being shorter than what was posted.

With 2 days in Epcot, no reason to rush through breakfast. Take the later time. It really is one of the best breakfasts at DW, both the food and the Princess interaction.

We have never had issues being out of Akershus before 9am, even when we were seated fairly late and Belle pictures took forever. We always make sure to pay our bill early on. We were able to meet all the princesses, although my girls are older now, so they don't take as much time with them anymore. We even ordered a second plate of food and had no issue finishing quickly. My husband headed out of the restaurant about 5 minutes early and got our spots in line. We were there well before the rope drop people. Our only issue that day was that the ride was down for about the first 20 minutes of the morning.

When my kids were younger this ride didn't exist, so we always booked it to Test Track before the ropes dropped and usually beat most of the crowd and had minimal waits there. We have done a PPO breakfast at Akershus every trip we have taken as it is one of our favorite breakfasts on property and the princess interaction cannot be beat.

If my ADR is 8:25, is there a chance I will be seated earlier if I show up right at 8:00?
