I just made an ADR at this place and I was just wondering if it was a good time to dine? They only had a 7pm and an 8:10pm open for Nov. 3. I wanted 7:30pm, but I was an hour late in calling. Is this OK if we want to catch Illumninations?

Illuminations is always at 9pm/Park closing. It is the last event of the day at Epcot. I think that 2 hours will give you plenty of time to finish and find a spot to watch the show!:thumbsup2

We had a 7:00 p.m. last December because we planned to hop over from MK as it was closing for MVMCP. It worked out great. The Princessess were just as attentive as when we had been for lunch at the very earliest seating in the past. The line for check in was long. I got in line to check in about 6:30, waited close to 10 minutes in line, and then we were seated at about 6:50. If you have hopes of getting seating a little early (or even on time), you will want to do that. There were people behind me a ways in line complaining because they had ADRs for I think 6:40, and they weren't going to even get to the check in before that. Because we checked in before them, we got seated before them even though they had an earlier ADR. I felt kind of bad when we walked right past them as they were still standing outside and it wasn't even our ADR time yet. I think you will be fine for Illuminations.

Just beware of the food selection...anything besides breakfast features traditional Norweigan foods, which many kids will not eat. It would be unfortunate to pay that much for a meal nobody wants to eat. Check out the menu at allears.net . As for Illuminations, you should make it out of the restaurant in about an hour and will have plenty of time for the show.

Thanks guys! This makes me feel better. I'll get there early for sure. Now I have to check out the best viewing spots from Norway.

Actually, the kids menu has Grilled Chicken Breast with Corn and Roast Potatoes; Cheese Raviloi with Meatballs; Pizza and Hot Dogs. My DD loved the plain old chicken breast. She was fed up with Chicken nuggets everywhere.

Our family loved the food there, and DD3 was so excited about seeing the Princesses even though we weren't in the castle.
DS3 had the ravioli and DD3 had the chicken breast. I myself would highly recommend the Pork Chop. It was delicious!
Our family liked the cold bar, it had meats, cheeses, fish, fruit, salads... but we are Scandinavian and we are familiar with that type of food.

Have a great time!:cool1:
