Akerhus Reservations--Fast Pass into Frozen ride?

Anyone can eat breakfast there and then get into the ride line, just like everyone else. You don't get a fastpass for eating there. The only advantage would be a PPO breakfast getting you in line earlier.

We had an 8:10 reservation there a couple of weeks ago- 3 adults so we weren't interested in meeting the princesses. We took the picture with Belle and were seated by 8:15. We ate leisurely- the princesses didn't come out right away. I asked to pay the bill by 8:40- we left at 8:45 and the princesses still weren't in our room. We were fine with that-we got into the FEA line and went on twice-no wait. By the time we came off our second ride, the line was growing (not long yet).

Thanks. I should've worded it more carefully or put fastpass in quotes. World Showcase opens later than Future World, which made me wonder if all of the breakfast Akerhus eaters would follow their meals by getting in line and waiting till 11 am for the Frozen Ever After ride to open, or if standing in line after eating was even allowed. I've eaten the princess breakfast at Akerhus with my party of twenty during the Christmas holiday a few years back, and it was wonderful. The ladies take their time with the families at each table. I'm not an adventurous eater so I was a bit scared, but the typical American breakfast was plentiful and yummy. My son who is adventurous enjoyed the typical breakfast food of Scandinavia. If you're on a meal plan, I think it's a great bang for the buck. And now it's kind of like getting a fast pass if I can get in line before World Showcase opens. Does it work that way? I understand it's not an official fastpass; sorry for wording it that way...

THANK YOU! That's what I was wondering. I thought World Showcase opened later than 9 am when my family went BF (before Frozen) hit the EPCOT. I thought Future World opened at 9am and World Showcase opened at 11 am. My family would have to gobble down breakfast to beat the line then. Now I see why this isn't the best option to get in quicker to FEA if the family doesn't want to miss the princesses. Thanks again.

You're very welcome! I think they start letting in the rope droppers at about 8:45-8:50 so you do have to be out of breakfast early to get in a no wait line. I'm guessing that if we did stay to meet the princesses, the line wouldn't be horrible but it wouldn't be a walk on. I think the PPO breakfast is nice as you get into the park early(no waiting at the turnstiles) and get a nice breakfast. It was one of the most expensive breakfasts we've done, but the quality was very good as well. I think if I had little ones that wanted to meet the princesses, I would stay for the meet & greet and wait in the line and maybe plan a FP so we were guaranteed a quick ride.

We lucked out and recently scheduled a PPO breakfast at Akershus (8:35 on a non-EMH morning) next month -- am I right in thinking that if we arrive early enough (like, by 8 or whenever they let us in the park) that they'll seat us without making us wait until our ADR time? Or at least promptly enough to give us a shot to eat and still make it to Forever Frozen early enough to beat or join the rope droppers?

Full disclosure: Even if my thinking above is right, I'm still wondering if it's worth paying $200 or so for breakfast (even at Disney!) for our family of four -- particularly if Permanently Permafrost ends up being down that morning, which my app says was the case again this morning...

I believe they let all the PPO ADR's in at one time, but then Akershus will seat you by your ADR time. Ours was 8:10 and I think we got in by 8:15. You may get in before 8:35 but would have to be done before 9 to get the jump on the rope droppers, but the line wasn't that bad after we came off the second time (around 9). And you probably wouldn't have time to meet the princesses. I think it was worth it to get in without waiting at the turnstiles and having a nice breakfast. But only worth it once (we had TIW discount and it still cost us $150!)

Also, we didn't get that PPO ADR until about two weeks before our trip so if you want the PPO breakfast at an earlier time, keep checking- it may come up.

This has typically worked on DCL, not sure if this works at WDW, but it's worth a shot...

I scheduled an 8:10am reservation (on 3/29) for Akershus but was able to secure a Fastpass later in the day. I plan to release my reservation; however, if anyone is interested in trying to pick it up, I will try to coordinate my cancellation with you. Let me know through a PM!

To clarify, FEA opens when the park opens (so does the QS in France). The rest of WS remains closed until 11, as you remember.

Thank you! This is helpful. I assumed Frozen didn't open until 11am when the rest of the showcase opens

We had an 8am Akershus breakfast this past Wednesday. We did our picture with Belle and were seated right about 8. Then we ate fairly quickly but not really rushing ourselves, just not wasting time. When the waitress checked on us at 8:30 I asked to pay and did then. The princesses didn't start coming around until 8:35 but we saw all four by 8:45 or so. We had already paid so we left at that point. The rope droppers were just arriving at the pavilion and we hopped right in line. We basically walked on, pausing only briefly for a boat or two in front of ours. The line was building but would still have been fairly short when we got out, but we didn't get in line to ride again, instead we got in line for Anna and Elsa. This is with 2 adults, a 10 year old and 3 year old. We all thought the ride was very cute.

We do the PPO breakfast at Akershus each trip - LOVE IT! In September we had a 8am ADR. We were one of the first to be seated, took our time and we were done by 9am. We got right in line for Frozen and walked right on the ride. It was awesome. After the ride, we met Anna & Elsa, with no wait. It was great. We plan on doing the same for our September trip this year. We really love breakfast there.
