I was thinking we'd go to Akerhaus for bkfst with my princess-obsessed girls. (Age 2 and 3) But I've been reading lately that bkfst doesn't have the best interaction wtih the princesses. (Perhaps b/c more people go for bkfst and therefore it's more rushed/crowded?? :confused3 ) So I'm curious to find out of the interaction and "face time" with the princesses would be more plentiful if we went at lunch or dinner?

Problem is - lunch and dinner menu scares me! :scared1: It's not that we aren't adventurous...however the menu seems so strange and we're a bit nervous we'll hate the food. Bkfst items, obviously are hard to screw up. But if the overall experience would be better at another time - then that's what we'll do!

Any thoughts? Anyone been to both bkfst and another meal and have any good comparisons? Any pix of the food you'd recommend at lunch/dinner??

Thanks in advance!

I've been to Akershus breakfast at least twice and we had fine face time with the princesses. Nearly every one at the table took pictures with each princess and there were 8 of us. The princesses all chatted and signed books and a few gave cheek kisses and such. The only issue we had was once Jasmine passed us up come to find out they can't go to a table when a server is there so they have to make the full circle again before you see them (cm informed us) but I'm sure that applies all the time. She came back to us and spent even more time with us because we had to wait for her.

We just ate there for lunch on Saturday and they bring pasta for the little ones under 3 at no charge. DD5 and DD3 had micky ravioli with sauce.I had the stuffed pasta with vegetables and DH had roasted chicken. They also have a salad bar with coldcuts and cheeses, so there really isn't anything too daring on the menu. You should be fine if you decided to go there for lunch.

Also, if you got the menu off of allears.net I think it needs to be updated!

We went for lunch in Dec & it was great. We saw 5-6 princesses & the food was great.

We've enjoyed breakfast at Akershus. But I don't think the interaction would be any different at any of the other meals. I would choose your meal based on what you'd like to eat.

Our first time was for dinner. We loved the Princess interaction but did not like the food. Our girls are not adventurous eaters. The last time, we decided to do breakfast and we enjoyed this. We thought the food was great (especially the potato casserole) and the princess interaction was great too!

My DH would only agree to go back to Disney if I promised breakfast at Akershus. My DD and DS both fell in love with Mulan. She probably spent a good 5-10 minutes at our table.

THANKS! Any clue where a CURRENT menu is??

We have only been for breakfast but I will tell you it was one of our better experiences with character meals. DD has a really special time with Belle and we have an absolute darling pic of her and Belle. We also thought the food was very good. It was very crowded that day but DD had pleanty of Princess time

Enjoy,
Konni

The interaction for lunch was great (were running late) and never felt rushed. The food was actually good. DH had the lamb and raved about it! I had the pork sandwich and it was also very good. The names sound scary, but the food that comes isn't. The kids meals are the general basic kid foods.

We took our 2 year 10 month old there for lunch last December and it was great. She saw Belle, Jasmine, Alice, Ariel, and Cinderella. We all thought the food was good. I was thrilled that they actually had grilled chicken on the kid's menu as opposed to the usual fried chicken strips. DD ate better there than almost anywhere else the whole week. She ate every bit of the chicken and some of the sides. She loved it.
