I haven't made ADR but I am planning to do so today! I was wondering if we ate at 8:15 would we be able to finish breakfast and still get to Soarin to get fast passes or walk on no wait? We will be there the week after Easter. Epcot will open at 9 this day. We are usually at the parks at rd and head straight to Soarin just didnt know how behind we would be eating first. 8:15 is the earliest ADR we can get.

You will be able to get FP's for Soarin but you will probably not be able to walk on with no wait. Even if you hurry eating at Askerhus I think you will be there a minimum of an hour. The cold buffet items will be ready right away but you will have to wait on your server to bring the 'hot' items and then check, etc. Plus it take about an hour for all the princesses to cycle thru. I'd give 15 min to walk to Soarin so at the earliest you will not be there till 930. The RD crowd will still be pouring in at that time and there will be a line. Since that is one of the more crowded weeks its hard to tell how long the line will be at that time, so I'd grab the FP and head to something else.

FWIW I dont know if you want to on a full stomach but Test Track would be on your way to Soarin so you may want to consider doing it before heading to get the FP for Soarin if the line is still reasonable when you walk by.

We always get a 8:05am ADR for Akershus, and it roughly takes us 45 minutes to do everything there. Yes the cold bar is already set up for you but the servers are very fast in getting the hot food out to the tables (at least for us they have and this will be our 4th time going in March). Also, even though you are done with your food and such, before the park is opened, you still cannot walk straight onto Soarin. They will only allow you to go up as far as the RD people. Then once RD is done, there are CMs that will lead everyone over to the Land because they don't want a stampede happening.

I agree. I have eatin there many times and it is usually around 8 or 8:30 and usually it takes at least an hour. Don't forget that you have to wait for all of the princesses to make it to your table. Usually they are pretty good about getting to all of the tables in a timely manner but it all depends on where you are sitting and how much time people are taking with each princess. Plus, when the hot food comes out they usually only give you 1 platter so you have to keep asking for more things that you want. I think that you will have to get a fast pass for soarin'. Don't forget that you are also going to have to walk all the way to soarin' it will probably take you 15 minutes to walk over there. I always forget how big EPCOT really is! LOL HAVE FUN!

The week before Thanksgiving we had 8:15 reservations for a group of 13. We saw all of the princesses and they spent time with us and we still were out in under an hour. Stopped by Test Track on the way to Soarin. By the time we got to Soarin there was only a 10 minute wait so we got in line, rode a second time then had to get fast passes.

We did the same thing in May, had breakfast waited for photo op with all the the princesses (except Jasmine but including Cinderella) and rode soarin 2 times with minimal wait times.

Really? :confused3 I have never seen the RD crowd seperated from the others. Maybe you saw it with your own eyes, but I haven't, and have been a lot of times.

Anyway, I would not expect to be able to get on Soarin after finishing Akershus. I would get the FP and do The Land or go over to see Crush at Living Seas.

Character b/fasts normally take a good hour. It takes the characters that long to move around the room. Plus, you will be given your photo just before you leave. Also, you may not be seated at your ADR time. We checked in well before our time and were still seated 20 minutes late.

You'd be better off making your ADR for 9:45 or 10. That way you can get your fastpass and have plenty of time to enjoy your b/fast.

We ate at Akershus for the first time (breakfast) in November and we were quite pleased with it. A good selection for everyone and the photo package they give you with a princess is very nice. Our nieces loved getting to meet all of the princesses during the meal! Our ressies were for 915 so I went over to the area of the fountain and waited for rope drop. It's actually a neat little ceremony that we have never seen in the 20 or so times we have been to WDW. CMs from Soarin and Test Track as well as many characters come out and they pick a guest of the day. The guest of the day gets to ride in a test track car from the fountain to the ride and then be the first of the day to ride. The Soarin cast members walk the crowd over to Soarin in an orderly fashion so there is no mad rush to get on the ride or get fast passes. I had plenty of time to grab the FP's and get back to Akershus in time for our ressie.
