Planning to do AK on a Sunday. According to UG, AK is good on Sundays. What has been your experience?

I have always had good luck with AK on Sundays. Another suggestion is to make sure you are there first thing in the morning. AK gets extremely HOT in the later afternoon.Have a great trip!!

I had been planning on doing AK on the Monday of our vacation in October...spending all day there and then finishing with dinner at Boma. However, after reading about how HOT it is there, I am thinking of changing the plan to dinner at Boma the night we arrive (Sunday) and then just spending Monday morning at AK. I don't think my 73 year old father could handle an entire day in that park, and since I'm gathering we'd have to take a bus to Boma anyway, why not just do it it's own night. Sound good?

We just did AK on Sunday May 29 (Memeorial Day Weekend) and it was not too bad at all. I think the local people who come on the weekends may go more to the other parks...
