please let me know how long safari ride is and rapid ride, also how would four year olds be on rapid ride, they would meet height requirement.i want to book late bkf in ak and need to know how long these rides are.thanks

Unless you are using ponchos I wouldn't ride before eating. On the rapid ride there are "wet" seats. My DD11 is famous for picking the "wet" seat. Needless to say I never sit next to her. She gets soaked, not wet but SOAKED. So going to breakfast where the A/C is on would not be ideal.

The rapid ride is about 5 mins and the safari is about 35 mins.

We love the Rapids. My daughter also picked the wet seat. We can't even mention Kali River Rapids without laughing. It was like someone was over us dumping huge buckets of water, but only on her!!! I think a 4 year old who liked the water would be fine.

I agree with the previous poster about not going on the rapids before breakfast.

As far as meeting the height requirement for the rapids, my DD(5 at the time) did & had a blast on it. She might not have felt the same way if she was in a "wet" seat, though.

Kilimanjaro Safaris is about 20 minutes (barring any delays caused by animals in the road)

You can never know how long the safari ride will be. We went on and were off in under 20 minutes one time and it took closer to an hour another time. It depends on how way-layed you are by animals, if at all. I think it might also depend on your driver. If you are in a rush, I'd wait.

You should have plenty of time to ride the Safari and also visit the Pangani Forest Trail (takes about 20 minutes also - the entrance for that is adjacent to the Safari exit) if you wish. I'd suggest you then grab a Fastpass for the Kali River Rapids ride then go enjoy your breakfast.

On a rare occassion, vehicle breakdown may be cause for Safari to last as long as an hour (however I think that's only happened twice in all the time I've worked there...we're usually pretty quick getting vehicles out of the way if there's a problem).

A lot depends upon the animals....but not the driver, we have guidelines to follow. We aim for just under twenty minutes. :sunny:
