AK--What do you use your FP+ for?

We are planning 1 day at AK. It is our children's favorite park (they love animals) and we have a Tusker House brunch ADR that we are excited about.

I have 3 children ages 4-7. I have booked our FP+ for the safari, expedition everest, and festival of the lion king.

We have never done EE before. What is the fear factor on this? During our last visit all 3 kids rode ToT so I *think* they could handle this coaster. We need to make sure our 4yo is tall enough. He may be just shy of 44in. Also can you ride 3 in row? or only 2?

If we cancel our FP+ for EE what would be best to replace it with? We are trying to avoid Kali :). Should I keep the Festival of the Lion King FP+? Is it still very popular?

TIA

We have not used, nor needed fast passes at AK the last two trips. We schedule a prepark breakfast, or just get there at rope drop, and ride safari, expedition, dinosaur, and walk around taking pics with little to no issue. We only do half a day at this park and usually use our fast passes that evening at Epcot or Magic Kingdom.

EE is not that scary. It is very smooth but going backwards can be disorientating to some.

Thanks for the info.

We aren't park hopping since we are only coming for a short visit this time. So we will be spending as much time as we can at AK during the 1 day we will there. I thought maybe summer crowds might be worse than other times of the year, but it doesn't sound like it :).

Last time we went I used out FP+s to schedule a later arrival time and nicely avoided rope drop. My son, who hates getting up early, appreciated that. We scheduled EE for mid morning and Safari and Dinosaur for after lunch. I might not go that route if our trip hadn't been in early May before the heat picked up too badly, but for the time we went it was nice to not be in a rush in the morning.

Safari, EE, and Lion King, in that order.

If I get there early enough my daughter and I get a ride in on EE then run over to meet my wife at Safari. We don't do a lot else. Will ride Dinosaur and Primeval Whirl if wait not too long, Bird show if timing is right. We are often leaving after lunch.

We do a pre-park ADR for Tusker House and ride the safari with no line right after. Then take the train to Affection Station. My first FP is for a second safari ride right after we get back on the train. I think that my other FP will be Lion King one day, Nemo the other, and then Everest and Dinosaur for me and DH.

Our fast passes for AK usually include:
-EE
-Safari
-FOTLK

EE is a great and fun ride! It's hard to compare with ToT! ToT's preshow is scarier than the actual ride, and it's made up of just drops, EE is a coaster, and a big one at that, it has fast speeds, backward parts and in the dark & a giant yeti to go past. You ride 2 by 2.

FOTLK I'd keep the fast passes, you get let in earlier than the SB people and get to choose between 2 sections to sit in (lion & elephant i believe) the show is still popular, especially since re-opening, I'd keep those fast passes.

A Giant non-functioning Disco yeti.

I still lover her, but I with about a million other people wish they would figure out how to fix her.
