We have a tight 3 day schedule, is it possible to do both parks
in one day? I wish MGM was open past 7:30 on our dates !!

I think if we get to AK for EE we should be done by 11 or 12.
Then should be able to head over to MGM. We won't be using Disney trans., we'll drive to the parks.

What do all you experts think ?

Of course, people like me (who know nothing) will always give you their opinions!
It depends on how much you're wanting to catch at each park, but if you want to cram two parks in one day, that's the most likely pairing. AK has so few attractions (compared to the others), and MGM is relatively small, size-wise. It also depends in part on when you're going. During quieter times of the year, you can hit a lot more attractions. So it's probably do-able. (Unless you're going for Christmas!)

Is it possible, Yes you could do it if you just wanted to see all of the major attractions and nothing else and your willing to run. I am not saying it will be bad just a busy day. If you choose to do it then I suggest looking at maps and deciding ahead of time exactly what you want to see. What I would say your going to miss out on is shows and parades. So if you are ok with missing shows and parades and just catching the rides then you will probably pull it off ok. If you can time it so that you are at one of the parks in time to see what you want to see then hey it worked out good right. Good luck and have a great trip!

Yep, done it many many times. Just simply plan well. Know what rides and shows you want to do and skip the ones you're not interested in. We usually do this and don't even do the Early Entry, so I don't think you'll have a problem at all.

Hi dm3,

Yes, it's possible to see the highlights of the AK and MGM in one day. In fact, we're preparing exactly this touring plan for the next edition of the Unofficial Guide. If you'd like to test it out, let me know and I'll send you a copy.

Sincerely,

Len

I think you should be fine...just make sure you make your list and stick to it. We actually planned to do just what you are , but we ended up staying four days. We combined AK with a second afternoon at MK. That worked fine too, and we drove our car between parks as well. Remember that when you get to your second park, many people will have left and you have great chances of getting a great parking spot! Have FUN!
