This is what my touring plan is for AK:
Go to EE and ride it (then if we enjoy it, get a FP)
Then go ride Safari
Then go ride Dinosaur
Then go get a FP for rapids and then ride EE (if FP was obtained)
Then have lunch
Then ride Rapids using FP

Does that sound OK and will it be to late to get a FP for rapids as we usually aim to leave the park at around 2:30.

My plan is very similar - i think everybodys will be :thumbsup2 Don't you go to Bug's Life....i haven't quite worked out when to fit that in, and also Lion King Show!! Oh and the parade :confused3 There just isn't enough hours in the day. I have been going over my plans tonight: deciding whether to swop our first day at AK (average according to Simon's book) to Epcot (lightest) but i think the lure of EE will be just to great.

When do you go?

We go to WDW on 1st September till 10th. Here's our plans starting from 2nd (on 1st will be travelling):
2nd - Epcot and MK
3rd - AK and MK EMH
4th - BB and Epcot
5th - MK and DD
6th - DS and AK EMH
7th - Epcot and MK
8th - AK and Epcot EMH
9th - MK and Hotel (packing)
10th - AK and plane

you've got a problem, since you're there for labor day weekend....
you're going to get heavier local crowds (people won't come from far away, but the locals will come)...
let's see.....the 2nd is a saturday, 3rd sunday and 4th is labor day....

your idea of MK EMH is probably good...i assume you mean the evening EMH which we found worked well in september (not in july, but yes in september)..

BB on labor day might be ok.....but the water parks tend to really crowd up on weekend days because of locals, and labor day is the same as a weekend day....

epcot on saturday always works well for us even in July, so it should be ok....
MK is usually horrible on saturday because of locals....but maybe it will be ok.....i guess you'll have a park hopper, so if things are bad you can hop out of there...

I am expecting AK to be very busy when we go : EE has only just officially opened, it might be a bit quieter when you go! Your plans look far more hectic than ours - i think we are a bit laid back when we are there and very often can't be bothered to leave the pool area (especially when it is hot and humid!!) We never go to 2 parks on the same day and i even have 2 spare days with nothing against them.....i'm sure we will find something to do on those days. :thumbsup2

We are going to go to EE first : FP and ride
Safari
Rapids
EE with FP
Lion King Show
Bugs Life
Parade

Fit in a quick bite to eat somewhere, really going to try and make it to the BBQ place this year, as everyone raves on about it.

We also like to leave the parks early but i love the AK parade so will have to stay for that. :sunny:

Here's my plan for AK, hopefully it'll work:

Get FPs for Kilimanjaro Safari
Ride EE
Ride Kali River Rapids
See ITTBAB
If FP window open, get FPs for EE, if not take 5 and then get FPs for EE
Ride Kilimanjaro Safari using FPs
Do Pangini Trail
If time before lunch ride EE with FPs, if not do it after
Lunch
FOTLK
Dinosaur & Primeval Whirl

The reason we going to MK on the Saturday is because its my fav park and it will be our last full day otherwise we would not usually visit MK on a Saturday. So what do you think about BB on labour day? We will be using the Morning EMH which will give us an extra hour and as we only go on the family raft ride twice, runoff rapids twice and lazy river do you think it will be OK? we usually leave BB at around 12:30 or even before. What else would u suggest for labour day?

is there an early morning EMH at BB?
i didn't know they had that.
When we were there last (in september) they were just introducing the evening EMH at the waterparks, but they didn't have a morning one.
So are you saying that now they've added an hour in the morning?
If so, that's a good thing.

If you get to BB before opening and make a beeline for runoff rapids first, then to the family raft ride, and finally head for the lazy river, you should be ok...even without an early morning hour.
As long as you're in running position when they drop the rope....and don't stop for anything along the way....run flat out to the back of the park for runoff rapids....(although we always stop at downhill double dipper on the way, for two quickies, and then continue on to runoff rapids - the line builds up faster at double dipper than at runoff rapids)....we usually do 3 times down runoff rapids (one time in each slide) and that's as many times as we can handle those stairs.....then we do the toboggan racers, then teamboat springs, and ending in the lazy river....and then a snow cone and we're outta there.....usually by 11:30 at the latest....

hey....wait a minute...i just noticed you're not going to Typhoon Lagoon.
Have you been there since they opened the new slides? If not, it's really worth trying out Crush and Gusher. After we went on C&G we were ruined for all other slides. They're really fun. We went to TL about 10 times last summer and only once to BB.
But you don't have to go to TL first thing in the morning like BB.
For C&G you can come into TL about 2 hours before closing and you'll have plenty of time for C&G and the lazy river.
In fact, we even went into TL an hour and a half before close a few times and had plenty of time to enjoy C&G. But not on EMH nights

I never realised about the morning EMH at water parks but i looked at an EMH schedule (cant remember the web site) and it said it for every morning in September. I don't no if this is correct but need to find out really. We are not TL fans, i think because we don't go on many water rides and we like the ones we do go on better at BB. I did want to try out crush and gusher coss it looks brilliant but I dout i will get the same opinion from the rest of the family as we didn't bother going last year when we were there for 2 weeks.
