AK to Hoop De Doo Review

We will be at the AK on the day we have a 6:15 ADR at Hoop De Doo Review. I was thinking to go straight from AK when the park closes over to Fort Wilderness would be the easiest way to get there. We are staying at the Y&B so to go back to our resort and then try to get to Fort Wilderness I thought would be the long way.

if you do decide to go from your resort just take bus to magic kingdom and boat to ft wilderness. i always do it this way as the boat dock is right there where hoop dee doo is held.

If you have a choice, I'd definitely go with heading straight to FW from AK when the park closes. AK will probably close at 5. Budget 30-45 minutes for the trip (including waiting for a bus at AK). Someone else can confirm, but that bus might only drop you at the front of FW, and you may need to catch one of the internal FW buses to get to the back of FW where Settlement Hall is. This isn't a long wait, but should be considered. You'll probably be a little early for the ADR, but you'll need to check in with the desk, and they queue people up for the seating anyway.

After the show, if all parks are closed, there will be buses that go straight to resorts. If not, you can boat to MK (the dock is right behind Settlement Hall) and catch a Y&B bus from there.

i would catch the FW bus at AK but you will need to get a campgound,second, bus from the front of campground to Hoop Dee Doo. even if a car is possible you will need to take the campgound bus, no car parking at Hoop. if AK is closing at 5, i would be in line a little beore 5. with 5 closing the campgound bus could be making more stops at loops because more people reutrning at same time. Hoop will be the last stop on the campgound bus and before you decide to try walking it is about 1 mile back to Hoop from the front.

It will usually be faster to take the bus from AK to WL, get off at WL, and catch the bus from there to FtW. The bus from WL to FtW takes you right to the HDDR, without having to ride through the campground.

At this time, it's the same bus from AK to both WL & FtW, stopping at WL first, but that will change at some time in the future.

In either case, you should allow 90 minutes on case of unforseen delays.

I would also take bus to WL from AK, and walk through to the back to the boat area and get on the boat to FW.

Easy to find, and you get to see WL!! It will take an hour or more, as others have said.

Unless you want to change clothes, I would not go back to YC first. If I did go back to YC, from YC, I would bus to MK, and then boat directly to FW.
