AK to Epcot Question

I am having a transportation predicament, and I need help!

On Oct. 1, I am planning on Morning EMH at AK, hopping over to Epcot for an ADR at Le Cellier at 12:45, and possibly going back to AK before they close at 5:00 to ride Kali. We will have a car and a AAA diamond parking pass (which I discovered I can't use at Epcot on the 1st).

On an earlier thread, someone suggested I drive to AK, take a bus to YC, walk to Epcot, and vice versa. I liked that suggestion, but now I'm worrying that we won't be able to get a bus back to AK around 4:00 since they close at 5:00.

One part of me thinks we should go ahead and do Kali, drive back to AKL, change clothes if we are soaking wet, then head to Epcot from the resort. That way we won't get our car stuck at AK. I just don't know how to get to Epcot--drive? bus? I don't want to be late to our ADR.

Any suggestions???

There is a direct bus from AK to Epcot. That's what I would take. It will drop you at the front entrance to Epcot, so you'll have to walk through FW to WS, but it's not a big deal. Taking a bus from AK to YC is okay, but that bus makes stops at YC, BC, Swalphin, and BW (I don't recall the order, but it's a PITA). Plus, you'll have to walk from YC (BC is actually closer to the Epcot entrance than YC).

We ALWAYS get wet on Kali, so it is a good idea to figure out how you want to deal with that -- going back to your resort or whatever.

Finally, there won't be any problem getting from Epcot to AK close to AK's closing time. WDW knows that people park at one theme park and then take WDW transportation to another park. I wouldn't try to do it afte 5:00, but you'll be fine in the 4:00 to 5:00 block.

Buses from resorts to a park will board guests until the park's closing time. Since buses run about every 20 minutes, the last bus will leave the resort within 20 minutes before closing.

Finally, there won't be any problem getting from Epcot to AK close to AK's closing time. WDW knows that people park at one theme park and then take WDW transportation to another park. I wouldn't try to do it afte 5:00, but you'll be fine in the 4:00 to 5:00 block.

Buses from park to park run until both parks have closed. Transportation is always available from a park until that park is clear of all guests. So even after AK has closed, you will be able to get a bus from Epcot to AK as long as you are in Epcot.
