AK to DTD ...

What's the best way to do this using Disney transportation?

Take a bus to one of the resorts, then a bus or boat to DTD.

Here's a few ways...

AK -> bus to Animal Kingdom Lodge -> bus to DTD
AK -> bus to Port Orleans or Old Key west -> bus or boat to DTD (a nice boat ride)
AK -> bus to Saratoga Springs -> bus or walk to DTD

Personally I would take the Bus to Saratoga Springs, then once you arrive there get off at the Congress Park stop and use the walkway to Downtown Disney, since they are the closest resort when going there.
