AK to Boma?

I have a 5pm ADR for Boma, and that is my AK day. I see that the parade is at 4pm on visit day and I've read that the parade usually runs for 15 minutes. Will Disney transportation be an option at all? or should I plan on taking a taxi ? If a taxi is my best bet, about how much would it run me? I could change the ADR time to later on..but who knows when that will be and my DS prefers to eat as close to his normal time as possible, which is usually 5:30pm.

AKL has their own busses and is "next door", so I don't see a problem getting over there or the need to spend the money on a taxi. If you can switch your ADR to a little bit later, you'll be more relaxed getting over there, but if not I wouldn't worry about it.

Just catch the bus going to AKL. It is a short ride. When you get off the bus, go to the lobby and on the left hand side just inside the door is a desk to check in for Boma. You don't have to go all the way down to the resturant to check in. We just ate there on Friday night and we love it. It is a must do every time we are there. Hope you enjoy it. You could try for a later time.

EZ, take the 5 min bus ride and don't run leaving AK. You'll likely have a little wait at Boma, so arriving close to 5pm will be fine.

I think you should be fine taking the AK resort bus from AK to the AKL and making it in time for a 5pm ADR.

I think the parade is longer than 15 minutes, but even if it isn't, it is a bit more complicated than that. Unless you are watching the parade right from the beginning of the parade route, you will need to factor in time for the parade to get to you (for example, it takes 20 - 30 minutes for the beginning of the parade to even get to the end parts of the parade route). You also need to take into account time to walk out of AK to the bus area after seeing the parade; this is easily a 10 minute walk. Then there may be a few minute wait for a bus. Once on the bus, it is only a 3 minute drive, but then it is another few minutes to walk from the bus stop at AKL down to Boma.

All of which is a long way of saying that making a 5:00 ADR after watching the 4:00 parade could be a bit tight. I would suggest either skipping the parade or moving your ADR until a little bit later.

We've done it. Make sure to get a spot for the parade in front of the Tree of Life near the bridge to the Oasis. That way once the parade goes by you can head right out. I wouldn't worry to much about it. AKL usually is pretty good about buses and it is only a little bus ride away. don't waste your $ on a taxi or spend your time worrying. Enjoy yourself I think you'll be OK. We made it there by 4:45.

Why not just plan on taking the AKL bus but if it seems like you're cutting it too close once you get to the park exit, switch to a taxi at the last minute? I can't imagine the taxi would cost more than $5.
