AK to Boma in time?

We have a 5:15 dinner ADR at Bomas the day we are to visit AK. My DGD wants to see the parade that is at 4. Will we be able to watch the parade and still make our ADR in time? Just how far is the AKL from the AK? Do you think she will like the food there also? She isn't a picky eater.

I'd catch the parade as close to the exit as possible and then head straight to the AKL bus. You should be ok. Our ADR was a bit later than that (5:40) and we made it just fine (and saw the parade on it's return to Africa) - had time to stop and buy t-shirts on the way out and look around AKL before checking in. There are tons of choices on the Boma buffet. If she isn't picky, I'm sure she'll find plenty to pick from. (lots of fresh fruit too!)

Thanks. We had planned to do the same thing. Is it better to catch the parade as soon as it starts coming out of the starting area( so to make the dash to the front a soon as the last parade float goes by) or is it too long and they shut the bridge down. Or should we be on the other side say over on the Asia side near Dinoland??

I have the same concern. Our ADR is at 5:20. I was wondering if it would be any quicker to just walk? I thought that AKL was close to AK.

I don't really think that' s possible. While it's basically "across the street", it's not that simple to just walk there. There isn't a sidewalk (like between MK and the Contemporary). We waited about 10 minutes for a bus and arrived at the AKL about 5 minutes later. I don't think it'll be a problem to watch the parade and then scoot to the exit and jump on the bus to the AKL. But I do think you'll have problems if you try to walk there.
