AK to AKL

Hi

We have booked an ADR for Sonaa on the day that we are visiting AK.

Our meal is booked for 13:00 and we will be travelling by car.

Could someone please advise, how long do you think it will take to get out of the park and drive from AK to Sonaa?

Actual drive time is less than 5 minutes - however you need to factor in parking and walking to the restaurant.

Sanaa is at Kidani and we have only been to Jambo so not sure on the parking over there.

we're going to Sanaa too so I'll be interested with the parking thing at Kidani (especially blue badge parking) even though I probably wouldn't mind walking from Jambo House to Kidani

Now going out of AK can take quite some time depending on the crowd and depending on you AK day planning

Avoid getting stuck in things like the Rafiki planet watch close to "get out of the park time", as you need to take a train back and might require a lot of time.

If you manage to arrive early, chances are you're parked close to the entrance and you'll need 5 minutes to get from the entrance to the car.
If you are parked rather far inside the lot, allow enough time to either walk back to the car, or to wait for some obnoxious guest to heed the CM's messages to finally sit or clear the loading zone ...

The actual drive to AKL is around 5-10 minutes depending on traffic, but it's pretty close together.
I wouldn't feel confident leaving the park less than half an hour before my ADR (I mean actually leaving the park, like in going through the exit turnstile)
I would give it a 45 minutes minimum (knowing that if you make it by 12:45 you might get seated straight away (again, depending on how crowded it is)

In addition to what the others have already said, it's probably worth mentioning that parking at Kidani Village differs from that at the other Disney resorts. There's only limited parking outside the entrance to the lobby; the rest is in a parking garage beneath the building. Once you've found a spot you'll need to take an elevator up to the lobby level. You won't need to factor in significant additional time, but it isn't quite as simple as driving into an outside space, hopping out of the car and walking straight into the lobby.

If you are going to return to Animal Kingdom after your meal at Sanaa then rather than taking the trolley from Animal Kingdom to your car and then driving to and parking up at Kidani Village and then doing the reverse, why don't you take the option of Disney's transportation bus from the entrance of Animal Kingdom to the bus stop at Kidani Village which is close to the main entrance for Sanaa.
