AK Sunrise Safari Question

Ok! For those that have done the Sunrise Safari at AK from AKL... will they let me stay in the park after or do I have to go back to the resort with everyone else? TIA!

They don't take participants back to the resort after the safari. The safari ends with breakfast at Pizzafari and once you are done with breakfast, you are free to go to the park or anywhere else you plan to go for the day.

Also, this tour requires that you have valid admission to DAK.

You'll love it. Our tour guide was great. It took over 45 minutes to do the normal safari ride and we spend about 10 minutes just at the lion section.

I agree...it's amazing!! One of my very favorite Disney experiences ever!

Totally bummed out. Have a club level reservation for next June, and just found out today that the Sunrise Safari is ending on Dec 28. We are in DVC, and in April, they announced that Sunrise Safari would be open to any DVC guest, and I tried to add it for our June, 2013 trip, but, there were no openings on the day we were going to be there (we stayed from Sunday to Sunday, and the safari is offered on Thurs and Sunday). Not sure at this point whether I will keep the club level reservation at this point.

We have a club level reservation for next June also. I will probably cancel since we mainly booked CL for the Sunrise Safari.

Well worth the time and effort... yes this means getting up really early! Breakfast served was amazing, not your typical fastfood!

As others have said - Yes, you can stay in the park after the Sunrise Safari. However, you need valid park admission to go on the safari. They check for park tickets before you leave. It is an incredible experience, and I highly recommend it! The breakfast at Pizzafari was excellent as well.

After a fabulous breakfast at Pizzafari we didn't want to stay in the park so we just exited and took the AKL bus back to the hotel. Also our concierge told us (for what it's worth) that the safari was being suspended due to the Avatarland construction but would return when possible. We felt it was well worth the cost of the safari and staying club level. However, even at sunrise we STILL didn't see much of the lions!

Does anyone know why they are discontinuing the tour? We have done this multiple times over the years.

I'm so bummed that they are discontinuing this. We wanted to do it on our August trip this summer.
