AK strategy for a first timer

We are doing AK on a saturday, no kids, should we skip camp minnie-mickey, do africa and asia and head to flame tree for lunch? Then, do discovery Island and the boneyard? I do not go on coasters/thrill rides, only gentle things. I want to make sure that we do the safari though.
Any strategy ideas from you veterans?

The Festival of the Lion King is in camp mickey and minnie so you might want to read up on that and see if it sounds like something you might like, we enjoy it. Go to the safari first thing, the cooler it is the more animals are out, or go right after it rains. That was the only time we saw all the animals.
