I was originally going to try to get in line (2 adults, 3 kids) for FOP after River of Lights since we have a dining package and couldn't score a FOP FP+. Instead, I was thinking of changing my KSarfari FP+ from 9:10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and rope drop FOP. Do you think I can make it from ROL in the dining package section over to Safari? Should I keep my original plan? Thanks!

Personally, I'd keep your original plan. Reports for doing the safari in the dark have not been all that great. You don't see that much. On the other hand, Pandora at night is supposed to be pretty magical, so if you have to wait in line, at least you have things to look at and keep you entertained while you wait. The other plus is you won't have to get up extra early and be at the park at least an hour before opening to ride FoP.

I would change your plan. I don't know what time ROL is, so hard to say if you'd make it to Safari or not. Yes, the Safari after dark is harder to see animals, no doubt, but you'll still see some. Actually, in the evening, you don't even need a FP+ for Safari, the line drops to nothing. On the other hand, FoP line never drops. So if you get in line at 7pm, you'll probably have a 3 hour wait.

Just did RD for FOP on Friday, we were at the head of most of the crowd where they hold you just past Tiffins. They let us in at 8:45am we were off the ride at 8:59am. The bridge to Africa was closed and we went back thru to Pandora and walked to Africa and walked right on to the stand by line for the Safari. Best Safari ride ever because they were feeding alot of the animals. I would keep your plans, I have done the night time Safari and was not impressed.

On the other hand, FoP line never drops. So if you get in line at 7pm, you'll probably have a 3 hour wait.

I'm disagreeing with this. There have been multiple reports of the wait time being much more manageable AT closing. It's not going to be a 3 hour wait at the end of the day. Will it be an hour? Probably, but you're not doing anything else that night, so why not wait in the line? I'd much rather do that at the end of the day then go through the stress and hassle of getting up super early and still have the chance of waiting over an hour to ride if we don't get out the door, a bus doesn't come, everyone else gets up early that day....
